Awesome DIY kit, needs a few more components to be perfect
I installed this on my 2007 FJ cruiser as in the pictures. I think the full installation took me about 6.5 hours with making all custom brackets. This would have been much more difficult without access to a good shop. It works great. I would highly recommend this to someone with good DIY experience and a access to a decent shop/tools. I made a few modifications in the process to get it just how I wanted it:1. bought an extra quick connect set so I could have one on both ends of the hose2. removed gauge and switch from their mounting plate and cut them holes in the trim instead(pictured)3. had to get extra wire to hook up the switch in the cab while the compressor is in the back4. made all the mounting brackets for the tank and compressor so they fit up under the truck inside the frame.5. I used my own wire connectors and put heat shrink on most of the connections.6. I also bought a attachment to fill tires that has a digital gauge on it.7. put the air port on the side of the rear bumper and am going to make a cap to keep dust/debris outI'm still not sure about mounting the compressor under the truck like I have it, but the hose off the compressor is pretty short, and they did supply a breather that is run into the cab so it wont suck in any water.

Solid unit, complex install
This is a mostly complete kit for some installs, but your own particular install may require a trip to the hardware store. That’s not a negative against VIAIR, but don’t expect to just install this without a plan. That said, I have installed this in my truck bed between two support frames for a full size mattress. After exhaustively weighing options, this was my best location. I may add a photo later if anyone cares to see.I installed this on my 2019 F-150 XLT extended cab 4x4, 6.5’ bed. I run 33’s. It runs quieter than expected, fills the tank to preset pressures quickly, and appears to be a very well made kit. I’ll report back after some usage.

A great compressor
It was a fairly easy install. I spent most of my time making mounting brackets for the tank and then nicely routing the hoses and wires. It is mounted under the panels in the back end of my Tahoe and it is surprisingly quiet. I used pipe sealant on all of the fittings and there are no leaking issues. It holds 150psi overnight. I purchased a solenoid so I can either momentarily open the drain to purge moisture or open it fulltime to completely dump the tank, all from the drivers seat. I have an air fitting under the hood and one in the backend to attach airlines to. So far I have just used it to fill tires and for my air horn and it does exactly what I wanted. My only complaint is that the supplied airline is only 1/8" and is very hard. I changed the fittings so I could use a high quality 1/4" line. I am very happy with this purchase.

Great onboard air supply
This is the 2nd Viair tank and pump I purchased. The 1st is still running in my 2008 Silverado HD3500. I also put an air horn on the truck for the times when you are towing and need more than the stock horn! When I was pulling a 5th wheel RV I wanted to be sure I had air and it did pay off a few times. Also have a 20 ton air jack for the axle and it works great. I now have a 26' Class C and just mounted this unit under the frame and now have it ready for the jack, and air as needed. Great product and the package has all the pressure switch and dash power switch and guage. Highly recommend.
