Q: What size hard drive do i buy?

For Non-HD DVR(s), we usually use 2TB WD Purple drives. For HD (720/1080) DVR(s), we recommend 4TB or above.

Q: Can an external hard drive be used instead of internal? would require usb port.

I think the usb port is only for backing up

Q: Can you put the dome camera and the bullet camera outside?

The dome camera is inside only. The bullet camera can be put either outside or inside, I would recommend outside.

Q: I live in northern Minnesota. How cold will these cameras work to?
