Industry and Empire: The Birth of the Industrial Revolution Paperback – September 1, 1999

Love the book. Love everything hobsbawn wrote.Maybe you could introduce a toool so that the reader could underline, not highlight parts of the text. For some of us that read for other ppurposes than pleasure it would be helpful. (Different types of underlining maybe ☺️) welll thanks anyway. I love all my kindle booksMarthica

The author is a highly regarded authority on the Industrial Revolution. The reader should not be put offby Hobsbawm's Marxist philosophy. The book is quite balanced and respectful of the historical facts.

Very interesting history of the Industrial Revolution and its interrelatioship to imperialism. A story only a communist could tell. Dry writing, however.

This book is so horribly written. I get frustrated and feel like throwing it in the trash. However, i’m gonna tough it out and finish it because I don’t wanna waste my money. I do not recommend this book. Please save your money.Industry and Empire, by Eric Hobsbawn
