Sliding Gate Opener Kit with AC 110V/60HZ Motor, Remote Transmitter, Gear Driven Automatic Gate Operator (for 1350lb & 26ft Gate, DK1350-M)

The media could not be loaded. We recently bought an old house with an open carport which had no closable access from the alley. Its too low to use a garage door so I elected to build a sliding gate. This kit was a critical element of this plan. The specs claim this can move a much longer and heavier gate than what I built and the installation is expecting a metal frame and the gate to slide inside an outdoor wall, where what I was building was the gate on the inside side of a covered wall of the carport , so the opener is actually built into the side of the carpool making the tolerances much tighter than the gate opener was designed to handle. This required some modification on my part (like moving the magnetic movement limiter detector outside the opener's casing so I could get it close enough to the gate to be detected. But the design was such that I could make these modifications and the result has been outstanding. The neighbors are thrilled with the design and impressed I could pull this off. I found the system well designed with the IR safety easy to install, and the magnetic limiters work precisely so the gate closes consistently exactly where I wanted it to stop. The warning light was also easy to install. The remotes are generic 4 button remotes which are overkill since the gate only uses one button. But that's ok -- we just painted it green so people know which one to use. The instruction explain how to program the gate for other remotes which I haven't had time to do, but will reprogram my car's remote to control the gate -- looks easy enough to do. All in all I'm very pleased with the quality and ability to modify for my unusual situation. I've updated with a video from the inside so you can see the opener and a magnetic limiters shutting the motion down.

My driveway uses 2 small gates that open in opposite directions and I needed an opener that supported master/slave operation and I knew this one did _NOT_ support the feature. I took a gamble and figured I'd try to built out whatever electronics I needed to make it work and luckily the control board provides open/close/stop contacts I can use to control the slave motor. It doesn't provide a way to detect _when_ the gate started moving other than the 110v light that gets powered only at that point so it'll have to do. This is definitely on the more advanced level if integration as my ultimate goal was to make it wifi controlled anyway but the open/stop/close contacts are all you need if you build or purchase a 3rd party device to control it.My two gates are very short, 5ft-6ft and when they are opened or closed the motor jerks them a bit rougher than I'd want. It'll easily startle anyone nearby even if they expect it to open. The motors are very quiet and open my small gates in about 3-5 seconds (never actually timed it).They came with way more track than I needed and time will tell how long it lasts.Update (2025)I've had these a few years and they still work great with the exception of I've if then starting to have issues with the clutch/release mechanism. This was caused by the magnetic stop switch being moved around my accident and the motor not stopping. I learned this motor doors not seem to have any kind of stall detection and will run untill... Not sure if the heat or time limit works as it makes the over opened gate get really jammed and required a power cutoff and hard unjamming. This might the clutch was forcefully disengaged a few times this way and now it's sometimes very jammed to disengage and sometimes doesn't reengage properly.I'm buying a replacement for the bad motor but will need to figure out how to wire in a separate limit switch that's more stable as the magnet on gear rack is often stepped on by kids.

Product has been in place for a year now and works great. I also order extra remotes and they all work great as well. I am pretty handy Andy the install went well. I think for someone who has very little experience may have some struggles with installing as the instruction are fairly lacking. The instruction for hooking up electric and remotes were easy to follow. But the installation and fabrication of a few items could be expanded. We love this gate opener and recommend it!!!

Buen motor. Fácil de inestalar. Mejorarían la descripción en manual de instalación. Un poco confusa. Trabaja bien, aveces toca oprimir dos o tres veces el control para abrir la puerta.
