Best Titanium Heater - One Flaw
This replaced a pair of heaters in my 14 gallon AIO reef tank. Those were glass heaters and continually became encrusted with sponges, raising a risk of cracking. Needless to say, this titanium heater has no risk of cracking.Good:Magnetic mounts for heaters and sensor with plenty of strength to hold in place.Heater mount holds element 1.5" from aquarium wall for maximum flow and eliminating cracking risk.Cables from the controller are about 8 feet long, plenty of length to mount anywhere you want.Easy to set up and use -- took about 60 seconds. High and low alarm set points easy-peasy.Temperature sensor is spot on (double checked with infrared sensor).Display clearly shows tank temperature and set point. Not so good:The temperature sensor has a low flow alarm, which is a very nice addition. However, the alarm goes off when I pause the return pump for feeding or water changes. The only way to stop this is a manual switch on the side of the controller, which disables all alarms. This introduces a risk if one forgets to turn the alarm switch back on after performing tank maintenance. The controller really should have an alarm pause button (~ 10 minutes) to eliminate this risk. All in all, the best heater I've ever used.

Better Than An Inkbird
I wanted a very compact but powerful heater for my 4.8G nem build. Winter gets cold so I needed something reliable.Easy routing and programming. The alarm is loud. Enough to hear throughout the house. Which is great so my partner can be notified if I'm not home that something is wrong. It holds a solid temp. I mean this thing does not budge. I set it to 78 and I have not seen it move. The probe magnet holder works great and prevents the probe from moving around. The flow sensing portion when the pump is off is a neat feature. A bit annoying if you intentionally turn your flow off, the alarm sets off. But you can mute it.I plan to get the magnet for the heater itself. Other than that. This beats the mess with a standard heater with inkbird.

Amazing performance
Yes, this device is an enormous extravagance in a fish tank… but it’s amazing.I’ve had quite a few tanks in my day. I’m no master of fish, but on and off for 40 years. Saltwater and fresh.Number one thing I hate is junk heaters. They don’t last, they’re hard to set, they produce large temperature fluctuations that change by the day, etc etc. This device eliminates all those problems.I put it in a brand new 60gallon cube with no fish. Starting water temp was 72.About 2 1/2 hours later (dual 200w version) the temp hit my setting of 77.0.It has literally not moved 0.1dg since.I’ve tested the water temp with digital meat thermometers and a no-contact infrared thermometer too. All agree to within the decimal point. 77.0 on the nose. Honestly, it’s surprising the thermometers all agree more than that the temp is perfect. In any case, this is a worthy investment. Yeah, it’s bonkers expensive for an aquarium heater… but think about it.You e probably got several hundred invested in other equipment and might have several hundred more in fish.Spend $250 and get a good heater.Stop wasting $30 every few months on junk.

Buy IM Aquariums NOT IM Electronics
The media could not be loaded. Bought this just over a year ago and the unit constantly sounds (very loudly) an E5 Error - Remote Sensor Error. This is even with monthly cleaning of the sensor with vinegar and water, as recommended by support. Been reefing for over 10 years and have NEVER had to replace properly maintenance sensors from any other premium-priced vendor. I have also had issues with the ATO Hydrofill sensors and controller with multiple failures. Time to switch back to the more reliable, much less expensive options. Also shady, IM does not allow verified buyer reviews on their website. IM should stick to their wheelhouse with aquariums and stop trying to make controllers and electronics. Their engineering is really shoddy.

4 and not 5
Had the heater running for about 1 month. It is easy to set up, keeps temp, feels like professional grade. I bought the 350W for an outside bait tank. now I know I need more power so just ordered the extra element. Only complaint, so far, the controller has no wall mount bracket. it lays around like a fish flopping on the deck. Come on!!! $250+ plus and you can't even supply or OFFER a wall mount option. very slack!!!

Great Tank heater
This is a great heater and after a month of use it holds its accuracy very well. A lot of major catastrophic failures are from tank heaters. This unit is expensive, but when compared to the overall cost of a reef, or salt water tank crashing due to a faulty heater it is money well spent. I recommend this unit.
