Precise replacement
I checked the part numbers on the old fan in my ordinary Broan vent hood and then ordered this one that matched up. Installation was very quick and easy and it is a perfect fit. This fan is noticeably quieter and seems to work a little better than the original factory fan and I think it was well-worth the coin. Just my own opinions and experience here, yours may differ. Thanks and good luck!

So happy we found this!
Five stars because we thought we had to replace our entire stove hood. It wouldn’t have occurred to us that we could simply replace the fan motor instead of buying a whole new hood unit until a friend asked if we could just replace the fan. Fortunately, we were able to find this replacement. It was super easy for us to install, and it performs very well and it’s as quiet as any other vent of its type.

Works for me
The installation was easy and it seems to be working just fine. It's no louder than the old exhaust fan that I was replacing. I'm sure there are quieter ones out there, but the price was right on this one.

Lubricate rotor bearings first thing
The number one failure of this type of fan assembly is that the rotor bearings wear out prematurely. This item has tight bearings out of the box and needs to be lubed. Trust me on this, it will extend the life of this type of fan for years. (3 in 1 makes fan motor oil for this purpose and works fantastic) Take unit apart and lube around the brass bearings - not just the rotor shaft. Soak the fiber pad that is press fitted into the bearing pack with oil. Lubing just the rotor shaft will work but won't last- you need to apply oil around the bearing so it gets inside bearing assemblies. The fan will run quieter and cooler and last a lot longer. It seems like you have to due this with pretty much all of them no matter who makes the fan.

It works kinda
The fan works, but it’s cheap and chipped when we dropped it from trying to install it. It only works for high, not low.

Ventline V2215 I made it work!
Ventline V2215Fan has an opposite spin direction. So to convert, first I removed existing fan/motor and had to enlarged the center hole on old 2215 bracket, then removed fan motor/blade from new bracket. After nothing blades rotation, I mounted motor on back side of bracket with now in the front. Everything's good! But two speeds, ok, so I used the fan switch on the hood (that doesn't have a fan in it) by lengthening the wires, the hood it's just for catching the smoke while wall exhaust does its thing and a light.Ok for the smart ones....... why not just flip the blade around...........
