The forks are well made and give off strong vibrations. They do not make noise with the dampers on but when taken off give off a calming vibrating sound.

I was impressed with the quality and value, which I didn't expect at this price. These are machines forks with a nicely sustained vibration, 15-20 seconds which is good for weighted forks. Nice activator mallet, although I prefer to use a hockey puck or the meaty part of my palm. I use the activator with my singing bowl.The hz can be easily adjusted by loosening the weights with an Allen wrench. Tiny movements change the hz a lot, and only minute adjustments are needed. Hz can be affected by temperature changes and other things, so if accuracy of vibration is of concern to you, this is an important feature.In a fairly short time, I've already experienced significant reduction in back pain and seen evidence of increased nitric oxide production. Especially in the morning, wink wink.

This is a good pair of tuning forks. Comes in a sturdy box that also includes a black drawstring bag for storage as well as a ball tipped striker to use on the tuning forks.The instructions were easy to understand. I compared each tuning fork’s sound frequency to examples available on YouTube and found them to be accurate.As a medical professional, I am usually skeptical of alternative therapies that lack reliable scientific basis. But I am a curious person by nature and I wanted to try this product.I liked the sounds that these tuning forks make but I can’t say that they had any effect on my joint pain and headaches.

This is set comes with two tuning forks: a 128 Hz C Note and a 256 Hz C Note. The 128 Hz fork is very good for muscle and bone pain and the 256 Hz fork is very good for grounding and centering. I like to use the 128 Hz on sore and problem areas of my body, so not just on chakras. The 256 Hz is great for using on the lower chakras (the centerline of the body below the heart).I love using the tuning forks with stones. One of my favorite to use is a lovely rose quartz polished stone that I place on my chakras, then place the end of the vibrating fork on the stone. It penetrates the body a lot better and is very effective. I can feel my energy settle and I feel like I become quite balanced using these forks with my stones.This fork set includes a rubber mallet that you use to make the forks vibrate. There is also a velvet storage bag included. I can’t believe the great price on this set - these are very high quality forks that work really well!I was surprised that the one reviewer said he has never heard of tuning forks for healing - tuning fork vibrational healing has been around for thousands of years and used by many cultures. He also said that it had no effect on him. My theory on that is you need to be in touch with your feelings inside your body and be somewhat intuitive and empathic to get anything from tuning forks.I have been practicing meditation, body work, yoga, etc. almost my whole life. Sound is one of the best healing modalities available and it is totally safe. I am sorry to hear that reviewer was not able to find any pleasure in these tuning forks, but some people are just not in tune with alternative, natural healing from music. You really have to open yourself up and be relaxed enough to feel the effects of these forks.For me, this is a wonderful therapy that is inexpensive and effective. It is not a gimmick! This is a great set and an amazing price especially if you are just wanting to try sound therapy with tuning forks. You can’t go wrong with this set! It makes for a great gift too if you have a friend that is into metaphysics.
