I bought a cheap plastic case with a ring holder on the back. Using the small lanyard supplied I attached that to the ring and use I it as a backup method to secure the phone to my bike just in case it comes loose. However, the phone is held solidly on the bike mount and is perfect for watching my progress on my rides. The self adhesive tape on the mounting plate won’t stick to a silicone case, buy one with a smooth plastic back for your bike rides.

New version with quad lock is very secure , very easy installation and the quality of the adhesive is unbelievable, took my bike to bunch of rough trails and didn't have any problems

... und das Handy hält !Zur Sicherheit noch mit beiliegenden Lanyard am Rahmen gesichert, aber bisher noch nicht einmal abgefallen. der Montageclip ist auf dem Bumper aufgeklebt und hält so das Handy im Halter. Egal ob hochkant oder waagerecht, es hält. Man sollte allerdings bei der Befestigung (ist auch am Lenkervorbau möglich) darauf achten, dass man sich beim Drehen, um es wieder zu lösen, nicht mit anderen Komponenten am Cockpit in die Quere kommt.Mein Fazit: der Kauf hat sich gelohnt und kann ich so auch empfehlen.
