Love the knife. I will buy more of them for gifts but this one is mine!
Beautiful Damascus steel knife and leather sheath. The knife is well balanced and feels good in your hand. Really appreciated the fact that the blade came coated with a clear petroleum jelly and wrapped in plastic to protect from rust. I cleaned off the lubricant and applied Flitz rifle, gun, and knife wax and it was good to go. The edge needed a little attention but after I worked on it for about ten minutes it was razor sharp.

Amazing knife.... or so i thought
Absolutely beautiful, an amazing deal. The sheath it came with is beautiful. It came sharp and ready to use (after wiping off the oil). I love the thin handle, it’s been hard for me to find a chef knife that fits in my hand nicely, I’ll definitely be buying from this company again!Update:This knife doesn’t hold an edge, I have to sharpen it daily. I’m a chef and have to use my knife daily, this one might have to become an occasional knife.

Not a chef knife. My Hampton chef knives I bought at Walmart are far superior to this knife.
This is not a chef knife. This is a decorative knife at best. people complained about it not being sharp it's not that it's not sharp it's not a chef knife. It is far too thick to be a chef knife. I was really excited because I love the Damascus steel. I will keep the knife but it will not be in my videos of my food. The cutting of my food with this knife will insult the appearance of my invested time into my creation

Amazing knife
Amazing knife. Has a beautiful Damascus Steel blade and I really love the colored bone and brass handle. Did the 2 day shipping and came in 2 days just like it said. Came in good condition with big packing bubble wrap, and the knife and sheath both separately wrapped in bubble wrap. Came with very nice leather sheath. Blade was also oiled to prevent rusting. Amazing knife and amazing service.

Add this to your collection!!!
I am a professional chef, from Cruise ships to resorts I'm trying to cook my way around the world.. I thought long and hard before I bought this because I hate wasting hard earned money. I really like this knife alot. Albiet I had to sharpen it on a tri-stone to make it Awesome. Mine is well made, however I did find a few flaws. At close inspection I noticed the tip of the blade was shaped a bit off. The edge on the bolster wasn't that smooth. So I filed it down a bit and smothed it out. There are some minor imperfections and I believe that's why it's so cheap. With that said, It looks and feels great it's a little heavy so it won't be a knife you could use all day but perfect for heavy veggies and meats. It really is a beautiful and impressive blade. I have alot of knives and my collection is growing. Shun, Wusthof, Miyabi to name a few. For what I paid, it is a great knife to have in the collection. IF and I repeat, If you sharpen it really well. Expect a really beautiful knife but not a perfect one. Btw I liked it enough to by the cleaver after using it for a few days.

Very impressed. Nice collecter addition.
After reading reviews that were a bit on the negative side for this product I was not quite sure just what to expect upon opening the somewhat crudely packaged box that I received. The box was to short for the knife and handle of the knife was causing a slight protrusion, but not an issue. Upon first sight I was most impressed with just what a beautiful piece of steel this is. The negative issues so stated by my fellow reviewers are not present in my copy. I am pleased. Run your finger over the side of the blade and you will feel the folds of steel used to form this blade. It is a heavy knife of good black carbon steel to bare witness. The handle leaves my grip a bit shallow. Meaning there is not enough in the width for a really great feel. In my humble opinion the handle should be much thicker in order to fill the hand better. The length and curvature are just right for my medium sized hand. The blade came with a roughly honed, but very sharp edge. After about one hour of sharpening on an Arkansas three stone wet system I was shaving the hair on the back of my arm off. After spending some time exploring the 'Poshland' knife line up I would draw your attention to the fact that this very nice line of knives is more directed to the outdoorsman. This is more the reason that this knife caught my eye. This knife is a little to heavy for general kitchen use but I would have no problem in using it's weight for smacking joint of tendon tissue. In the kitchen this knifes weight may very well be an asset. It requires less down pressure on what you are cutting and goes through a tomato like nobodies business. I have a small collection of what I would call above average priced knives. Very little in the way of over a $100.00 price tag per knife. I do not have a butcher block knife holder and much prefer storing my knives in a good padded presentation box. I was not sure whether I would like the idea of a leather sheath for protection. I was wrong. The sheath is a thing of beauty and holds the knife quite nicely. There is a nice wide belt loop on the back side of the sheath that is held in place by two very substantial rivets. Some very good thought, craftsmanship and work have gone into this sheath. It is well made. So, do I recommend this knife to you? Yes! If you are a sportsman in need of a good heavy knife for field or kitchen, this may be right up your ally. If you are a collector of knives, you may wish to give this product a second look. The blade is beautiful. After each use of this knife, it should be hand washed and dried with a light coating of vegetable oil applied. Remember. This is a high carbon steel knife and will rust easily if not cared for properly. 3/17/18. Sorry guy's, I must update my review. I stick by my original review in stating that this is a beautiful knife. However, it is much to heavy and clunky for most kitchen use . This is a field knife and one much better suited for light hacking and chopping needs.

Exactly what I expected.
I bought this for my sibling who works in a kitchen, very nice looking, feels great in hand. Great for the price. Comes sharpened but could use more sharpening. Not as pleased with the sheath, but only because i thought it would look different- its lighter in tone and I thought it would be lacquered. Overall happy.

Had to scrub the blade to remove the rust which then took all of the dark stain out of the damascus and now it looks rather dull. I was unable to put a shine back ...
It arrived with the brass tarnished and the blade was rusted. Had to scrub the blade to remove the rust which then took all of the dark stain out of the damascus and now it looks rather dull. I was unable to put a shine back to the brass.
