Great glides, easy to attach.

Good firm felt. quality screws. Just pop off the existing plastic chair tip and screw on the new ones. Couldn't be easier. Seem like they will last a long time. Chairs slide easily. This size at 1.1" was a lttle bit large for my skinny chair legs but the protection is worth it. Would be nice if they had rectangular shape. I might wind up getting the 0.8" ones for smaller chair legs.

We recently replaced the living room/dining area floor as part of a remodel. The old hardwood floor was badly gouged by unprotected heavy furniture feet; so we were motivated to protect the new floor from similar damage. The dining area is dominated by heavy, 40 year-old Drexel dining set. We tried several floor protectors before settling on these 0.8” screw on pads. These were tho only ones that didn’t split the chair legs. While the product contained a drill bit sized to make installation easier and prevent splitting, I went up an index size just to be safe. It’s been a month, and so far so good.

I have a valuable set of Hitchcock chairs that I bought new many years ago. If they have a fault it's the tapered legs that are impossible to cap with a product that won't come off or mark the floor. I have been through dozens of different products over the years. And at last I found this set! All I can say is that, for now, they are perfect. They slide easily on the hardwood floor, and look like they are supposed to be there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping that they last and last.

For wooden-legged furniture, this is what adhesive-backed protectors want to be when they grow up. Sure, the adhesive ones are faster to install initially, but they are a mess when they have to be replaced, and they just don't last as long.

I've used these in our restaurant and they work well for about 2-3 years, which is a life time of use in a regular house. The ones at home look new after 2 years, protect the floors and make no noise when you move a chair or stool. I add a drop of Gorilla glue under each one and they never come loose, even in the restaurant application. With very high traffic the felt eventually wears out, but not as quickly as the hard buttons. They allow a chair to slide quietly without being "slippery" on hard surfaces.

These felt pads are fabulous. They work on both my dining room chairs and folding chairs. We switched out the original pads on our dining room chairs 2 years ago because they were scratching up our wood floor. These felt pads have lasted that whole time and do not scratch wood or vinyl flooring. I even added them to my folding chairs to help them slide better on vinyl and love them. The screws work in multiple materials - rubber, plastic, and wood.
