Christmas Make Your Own Gold Crackers - Pack of 6

love putting better prizes and gags. jokes were repetitive in multiple packs but I had intended to compile my own so all was fine

6 flat packed gold and white card cracker templates arrived with the cracker pre-stuck inside each one, 6 paper hat in three colours and 6 paper jokes. I upgraded the ribbon from silver present wrapping ribbon to velvet ribbon I bought as I knew the silver ribbon would crease.They were pretty tricky to assemble, easy in theory but they really took nimble fingers to avoid creasing or ripping the card. It took me an hour to do 6 crackers but I was very careful.My tips are:Gently roll the whole flat cracker over something cylindrical like a rolling pin before you secure the middle section.Pre-Cut small pieces of sellotape to go inside the tabs, after you’ve secured them.Decorate the hats! I drew something personal, and used pinking scissors on the edges.Write each persons name inside one end of the inner side of the cracker (unless they all have the same goodies inside).You can fit in quite a lot of goodies in the cracker. I put in several gifts measuring their size first. Each person got different useful and non-plastic gifts as well as at least one chocolate coin or Santa.Before you put the gifts in secure two tabs, and tie one piece of ribbon on. This means you have a cup to pop your goodies in and they don’t fall out. Then tie the other side.Measure the piece of ribbon you want and then cut the same lengths x 12. I found that the diameter of the rolled cracker worked best.Don’t worry if one or two of the cut out triangles break. You won’t notice when it’s tied together.Loop the ribbon underneath the cracker with the seam on the bottom, then tie at the top, and in the same place on both sides.

I like to do my own crackers as you can choose your own nice gifts to out in them, and people seem to appreciate it more! These do the job well for what i intended to place in them, would but again

I buy these crackers every year, easy to assemble and I can personalise them with specific gifts. However this tear all the tissue hats fell apart at the seam as we opened them. But did still enjoy them.

I bought these because I couldn't find child friendly crackers anywhere this year. So I bought these and put sweets , stickers, bubbles ect in them for kids and pens torches ect for adults. Everyone was happy with then . The snap was already secured in place which was loud when pulled 👍. The hats and jokes came in a little bag and the ribbons came in a little bundle held together by tape each end . When I tied the ribbon I curled it at the ends. 👍

Good to have the whole kit, including snaps and hats. Easy to assemble, if a little fiddly at first as the cardboard is quite thin. I used my own jokes as they were funnier than the ones supplied. If I was using the supplied jokes I would have been a bit annoyed that the jokes were the same in each pack, as I was making them for a table of 11 guests. I bought blank photo keyrings and printed out pictures of the children and grandchildren to put in the adults' crackers, which went down much better than the usual shop bought cracker gifts.
