Great for lunch
Great thermos and larger capacity makes it perfect for middle school lunch. Swell, if this container had a removable divisor that would make it perfect!

Noice
It’s says it’s not dishwasher safe, but it really is. I’ve put it in the dishwasher multiple times and there was no damage. The size is good to fit in almost any lunch bag. It’s functional and keeps my food warm with no leaks.

Works great for my purposes.
I drive luxury buses, SUVs and cars as a chauffeur and there isn't usually a lot of time to stop for lunch or dinner. Using this bowl for meals I make at home means I can avoid paying a lot more for takeout from restaurants, which is exactly the reason I bought one. I considered other approaches, like a portable heating pot that would need to be plugged-in, but that wouldn't have been reliable depending on what I'm driving. So does this bowl do what it says? Yes!Last night I had chicken noodle soup that had to cool off a little before I could eat. The soup went into the bowl at boiling temperature and it was still very hot 5 hours later. Another time, I had rice with chicken and veggies... again, it went in hot and was still hot many hours later. Some reviews mention a problem with leaking and the lid being difficult to secure, but it's easy to deal with. I just make sure the lid is level all the way around the bowl and then tighten down. Maybe if you're in a rush or just not being very careful, it could be a problem, and heat and liquid would escape from the bowl. But it's really not that difficult to secure the lid.So yes, I would recommend the bowl to a friend. I'm considering a second one so I can bring hot and cold food (ice cream, or yogurt and granola, salad, etc) together.

Actual insulated travel bowl you can eat soup out of easily!
I purchased 2 of these in the hopes that my kids could eat soup out of them at school. Well, they said they like these MUCH better than the thermos style because it is easier to eat from. This is very sturdy and once opened, is like a bowl. You don’t have to pour out of it into another container. One child said it kept his soup at the perfect temperature while the other (who like his food on the hotter side anyway) said it was warm enough to eat but he likes it a little hotter. No surprise there. The mouth of this one is a little wide, so it is harder for small hands to open, but with a little help from the teacher is a better solution to hot food at school. It was packed about 7:15 and eaten at 11am. I did “pre charge” the container with hot water first, so that always helps. I recommend this product.

Doesn't keep the food hot
I like the look and opening for access to the food but ... it doesn't keep the food hot. My lunch is Luke warm and I heated the container.

Does not perform as advertised...is difficult to unscrew
Surprisingly disappointed. I love the water bottles. The triple insulation really works well to keep liquids hot or cold and I have no hesitation recommending them. However, the food storage containers do not do as advertised in terms of keeping food warm (let alone hot) for as along as they say the product will. I have the 24oz, which is supposed to keep food warm, if not hot, for 7 hours. I pack my food hot at 6:30am and have lunch starting at noon. That's only 5-½ hours but it isn't even lukewarm when I go to eat.On top of that, it is very difficult to unscrew. I have found the only way I can get it open with any modicum of "ease" is to have one of those jar opener gripper pads handy. (Don't try using the cute little recessed handle either; the attached areas are not strong enough to withstand the force needed to unscrew.)Considering the price of this item and comparative quality of their water bottles, I am very disappointed and wish I'd tried using it before the time to return had passed.

MMM... oatmeal!
I bought this because I love to eat warm old fashion oats for lunch (not instant blech!), but I often eat in locations that don't have cooking facilities. I toss all of my oatmeal ingredients in here in the morning (5 am), boil my water, pour it over and seal up the lid. By the time my lunch rolls around at 12:30 ish I have perfectly plumped oatmeal at the perfect eating temperature. A few times when I missed lunch, it was still warm enough to eat by the time got home. There is plenty of room for the 1/2 c of oats, my fruit, and hot water with room to spare. The only think you do have to watch is the lid can be a bit tricky to get seated correctly especially if you have small hands. I haven't had any leaks when it was on properly.

Decent product for the price
It's sizeable and holds a lot of food, but doesn't seem to keep it hot. It does keep it warm at an acceptable temperature though, so it's OK for that. However, I think that it may only be made for soups and/or stews, which are dense. It is a heavy and made of strong materials, so it should last for a long time, and it also does not leak.
