The Longest Ride: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

"The Longest Ride" soundtrack CD has some delightful gems. The opening track "Wildfire" by Seafret is a sweet midtempo rocker that sounds vaguely Celtic with the catchy chorus, "We are bound to each other's hearts; called, torn and pulled apart."* It's a great addictive track. Middle Brother's 2011 self-titled CD was a favorite of mine; and "Blue Eyes" from that CD shines on this set. (Middle Brother is a "super-group" effort from singers from the bands Deer Tick, Delta Spirit & Dawes.) "Backwoods Company" is the leadoff track from The Wild Feathers' 2013 self-titled CD. It blasts out of the speakers with loud electric rock and such a great bass line, "Lay me down by the old oak tree; Cut my hair when they bury me." "Oh, Tonight" by Josh Abbott Band featuring Kasey Musgraves comes from the band's 2010 CD "She's Like Texas" and rocks pure country, "Oh, tonight we're gonna set the world on fire; & I'm gonna set aside my pride; Not gonna be the one to say goodbye." Sweet! Black Pistol Fire's "Show Pony" is a blasting rocker that zaps you with its swagger, "Getting kind of cozy with a loaded gun." Adan Jadorowsky's "Dancing to the Radio" is hook-filled with a catchy chorus. Kodaline's 2012 CD "In a Perfect World" is the source for their gorgeous "Love Like This." Other tracks like Pistol Annie's "I Feel A Sin Comin' On" & Ryan Adams' "Desire" make this a very strong soundtrack with no clinkers. Enjoy!*Note: Lyrics according to my ear!

Knowing a few of the songs before seeing the film I was excited to hear them meshed into this great movie! I also found some other favorites! I am a true believer that musics tells a story within itself and both the directors, writers, and cinematographers did their research in finding songs that were beautiful and meaningful. While some are fun to dance to, a song or to may take you back into memories once lost! I think everyone needs this album!

Scott plays his part well, and a chip off the ole' block of dear old dad. Happy with purchase.

This is the first movie in a long time that has made me feel good. The parallel love stories held together throughout the movie. The acting was superb.

You'd think this Sparks movie is corny, but just the opposite. Two love stories in one great movie. Great soundtrack.

Fabulous video and music, I just had to buy the sound track because it is a constant reminder of the film.

Wonderful playlist filled by country music so that yuor mind goes into the North Carolina's country atmosphere, where "The longest ride" is setted!"Wildfire" by Seafret is simply awesome...

Bought this as I had bought the film and loved the music. constantly playing this whilst doing my housework and also in the car .

J'avais apprécié la bande son sur le film, et je souhaitais la découvrir complètement, je suis ravie. C'est de la country, je ne connaissais pas ou très peu, j'apprécie ce petit moment de plaisir dans ma voiture, le matin en allant au travail. Alors si vous aimez la country laissez vous tenter..

Super schöner Film. Leider ist dieser Soundtrack nicht so gut wie der Film. Es fehlen einige Songs und auch der "Themesong" der im Film wirklich sehr oft kommt ist leider nicht auf der CD.
