Great Tea
This pot makes great loose tea. It is perfect size for two cups and is super easy to clean. You can make whatever strength you prefer in minutes and it keeps the teas hot.

Whole leaf tea without a big mess--yay!
This modern-looking teapot is perfect for steeping tea in the leaf. That is, it doesn't go on the burners. It does its job admirably: tea leaves go in a strainer, which does into the pot. Instead of a plain cover, there's a plunger--essentially this is a tea version of the coffee plunger method. Clever, simple, and makes wonderful tea that's brewed to the intensity you desire. Wonderful, useful gadget for tea aficionados. I make two full mugs in the morning in this teapot. Just two tsps of tea leaves yields a strong brew--and with minimal mess, no gunky tea, either. Highly recommended.

Great teapot for a loose leaf tea beginner
I got this as a new fan of loose leaf tea and this is perfect for me. I especially appreciate the plunger-top that allows you to stop steeping when it’s time and easily re-steep when you want to make more. It is also easy to clean.

Good replacement
This was a gift to replace an earlier model with a plastic filter. This one is nicer and has a sturdy steel filter. I also bought the 1 liter size which the receiver appreciated since it was a little smaller than the earlier model.

The gimmick actually makes it more tedious
The gimmick of the French-press style infusion chamber sounds neat and helpful, but in reality makes using this teapot almost a chore.First, the seal on the plunger is tight by necessity, but this means that pushing it down all the way is challenging. And if you don't push it down all the way, the chamber of tea leaves isn't sealed away from the infused water. And again when it's time to empty the chamber, it can be difficult to get the plunger back out. On top of all this, the chamber itself is suspended about halfway up the pot, with the mesh part starting about an inch above this, meaning that you have to make at least 3/4 of the full pot to even have the water touching the leaves inside the chamber. It looks great. But this might be a classic case of form over function.

Favorite tea pot
I love this teapot. I owned an older version of it that lasted for years and years until I accidentally dropped it on concrete. This new version is definitely an upgrade. The plastic seems to be a different texture. Hopefully it Hold up and not stretch as much as the other one did. The centerpiece that holds the tea is also designed a little bit differently. I think in the temp to get less leaves in your final drink.

Lasts forever and easy to use
I have had the Bodum tea pot with a black handle for over 20 years and just accidentally broke it when I hit it on a sharp corner. The replacement arrived in just one day and looks and feels just like my old one, except the mesh is now metal with rubber rim instead of plastic. I actually like the new version because the water seems to be going through the metal mesh faster, and metal won’t stain like the white plastic did after a while. The pot is super easy to clean and allows you to precisely control the strength of your tea brew. I don’t like too strong tea so the fact that I can capture the leaves in the bottom of the metal container and stop the brewing process is very appealing to me.If you drink a lot of tea, get this pot, it will last you for a long time and will save a lot of frustration.
