LOTS of fun!!!
i bought the marshmallow gun for my grandson on his fourth birthday. i've never seen him or any other child have so much fun with any toy. i could hear him (and the other kids) laughing even though they were outside and i was upstairs. it shoots pretty hard, but they are only marshmallows, so it's relatively harmless. it was a little hard for him to pull the trigger since he's so small, but he had help. he loved it and so did everybody else. if you're looking for a good gift for a child, a teenager, or even an adult male, this is a GREAT gift!! it was worth the money and if you're reasonably careful with it, it won't jam and it will last. i plan on getting one for my niece for her birthday.

Mashmallow Shooter doesn't work!
Unfortunately, the mashmallow shooter does not operate the way you would hope it would. I purchased five of these guns and gave them to family over the holidays. Everybody ran into the same problem. The first 5-10 marhmallows comes out smoothly. After that they begin to stick to the exit of the gun. You'll see 3-5 mashmallows backing up, bulging into a larger blob that never shoots anywhere. We have tried dehydrating marshmallows, and we have tried applying oil to the end of the barrel to see if that makes any difference. It doesn't. Although everybody loves the idea there is a gun out there that can shoot marshmallows, I regret to say that you are better off throwing them with your hand. This product was a huge waste of money. We can't seem to throw ours away b/c it cost so much and keep picking it up hoping it will work one day. It's a false hope!

GREAT FUN !!
I have a huge family and ended up buying 18 of these shooters for christmas. We had TONS of FUN!!!Don't jam pack the tubes , marshmallows can get sticky and stuck in the tubes. On some you have to pump more than others, none of the 18 were duds (read the directions). Two of the kids stuck fingers in the chambers trying to get out marshmallows that got jammed. It got more stuck.Again, don't smush, they are marshmallows, gently remove with a chopstick DO NOT WET THE SHOOTER MOISTURE AND MARSHMALLOWS DO NOT MIX WELL. Regular flour works great in there to help ease it along.More than 2 months later we all can still have marshmallow wars.

Marshmallow Mafia
I purchased 9 of these for Easter. We always go on a family beach trip for Easter, and it was great fun for the kids to all wake up and find one of these waiting in their Easter baskets! The Easter bunny also left out giant bags of mini marshmallows pretty much guaranteeing a great time. The kids ranged from 4-16 and all were able to play together. They played all weekend, sometimes team against team, sometimes a lone sniper, sometimes one would shoot them in the air and the rest would run around trying to catch them in their mouths. It was a perfect group gift. Out of 9 guns, one broke it's seal almost immediately. We were able to fix it with super glue, but it was out of commission for a day. These guns work best with slightly stale marshmallows as two guns got a very fresh marshmallow partially stuck in the tube and even though we got it out, the tube is very hard to clean. It also must be completely dry before using it again. We set them by the sink to air dry, but after 24 hours they were still wet inside. I rolled up a paper towel to shove it down, but there were still some damp spots. I ended up using a hair dryer to finish the job. If the tube is wet or damp in any way, the marshmallows will stick in the tube causing misfiring, jamming or disintegrated marshmallow sticking in the tube. On the whole this was alot of fun for all ages, and kept the kids busy all weekend.

OK but...
My grandson thanked me twice for this as a birthday present. It also often makes a sort of 'burp' or fart noise if it fires multiple projectiles at once - and that adds to the hilarity, as well as kids and dogs eating stray ammo.OTOH, it can malfunction easily. I took it apart completely and sealed all joints with (edible) greasy coconut oil - shortening or (yuck) vaseline would probably work, too. You have to keep it internally clean and free from jammed marshmallow goo. Cue Tips are useful. In addition, it helps to examine the marshmallows and make sure that they are all the same size with none too big to prevent dreaded jam ups. Eat the ones that are too big. It's really more like an M-16 than an AK-47, if you get my drift.

Kids loved them.
I bought these for my 2 grandkids - ages 8 and 13. My 6 year old grand had received one for her birthday, so the kids wanted to "marshmallow battle". They had a blast. The guns are easy to load and have been very durable. They have been dropped, thrown, sat on, etc. and still survived. The marshmallows do shoot harder than I had imagined but as long as you have the rule NO SHOOTING IN FACE- it has been no problem. The guns come apart and the tube that holds the marshmallows is dishwasher safe.

Choose the blaster that fires full-sized marshmallows over this one
I have owned both - the marshmallow "blaster" is much more reliable and is well worth the few extra dollars it costs. This gun and others that shoot mini marshmallows rely totally on manual air pressure - since mini marshmallows are so small, their size can easily disrupt the process and result in misfires, jams, etc. Just read all the reviews - even the ones who say they figured it out had to carefully follow an elaborate set of steps to get it working. This is a bad product but the manufacturer makes other good ones.

Sticky Situation Shooter
I bought 3 of these marshmallow shooters for my 10yr old daughter and her friends for christmas. They all really wanted this for christmas so I thought I had ordered a good quality shooter. It turns out that every 4th or 5th mini marshmallow gets stuck and smushed in the tube of the gun, making it unable to shoot. THEN... you have to empty the tube and completely wash out the sticky, ooey, gooey, smashed marshmallow, and dry it out completely. Needless to say my daughter was soooo bummed and disappointed. 2 days later we saw the same shooter at a store for $7 cheaper! Not happy at all.
