Zorrel Dri-Balance Moisture Wicking T Shirt

Very Good Product - Good Value
One of life's difficult challenges is finding a t-shirt that fits, is comfortable and easy to care for. This may be the one. Last year, I purchased 4 t-shirts on sale at a department store that were 100% robust cotton and seemed well made. They shrank one size immediately after washing and were ill-fitting around the collar. Something just wasn't right. Have you noticed how t-shirts in the last 10 years have been diminishing in quality? Especially with the use of very thin cotton. Bollocks! This Zorrel shirt looks and feels like 100% cotton, though it's 20% poly, but you'd never suspect it. It's thick, soft, comfortable, and shrank hardly at all on the first wash. There is no funny odor like with other cotton-poly shirts and the price is very reasonable for the quality that you receive. I initially ordered just one to try it out. I just placed an order for 3 more and will get an additional two later once the colors become available. I'm so glad I can now throw away my tattered once-high-quality t-shirts I've been holding on to for 10 years. Note: these Zorrels have a well-made crew neck, something that's rare these days. I like a somewhat snug crew neck, others might not. But it's a vast improvement over the sagging necks of most t-shirts on the market today.

Ideal for photographer
Being a commercial photographer requires clothing that transitions easily between the outdoors and the boardroom. I've been wearing these Zorrel dry fits for at least 8 years (in black, re-ordering every 18 months or so), and they are still my favorite. The neck fits closely without being too tight, the sleeves cover the arms to just above the elbows, and the length is generous for tucking in or wearing out. I also have more expensive Nike polos (thin polyester) for the hottest summer days in Atlanta, Under Armour t-shirts for hard exercising, and Columbia bonehead cotton shirts (need ironing) with tall collars and large pockets as an alternative. But these are my all-around favorites because they look great, feel great and are so easy to care for, using permanent-press, wash and dry cycles - straight to hangar.Wears well under a blazer, too. Plus the current version's slightly wider crew-neck elevates it above the normal t-shirt look. The fabric is comfortable enough to sleep in (especially in the winter). I usually wear a large, but get these shirts XL because of the slight cotton shrinkage and I don't mind that they are a little loose, although that could change ;)

Fits well, keeps cool, feels durable
This is a fantastic shirt! It's been washed once and worn one day. I've got the charcoal color, the exterior is dark and the interior is a lighter gray. It appears to be two layers of fabric melded together. My wife thought it was a reversible shirt. Whatever, the shirt feels solid and it's not see-through. The sizing is correct - XL shirt fits XL guy right. The sleeves are the right length and are neither too tight nor droopy. The crew neck doesn't choke you and I don't feel any scratchy seams. The tag is down at the hem, not behind the neck. This shirt is not as "heavy" as the old Hanes Beefy Tees, but it's close. So far, the shirt seems to be effective against hot, very humid conditions. Seems like it's a challenge to find a quality t-shirt these days so it's a pleasure to finally find a brand to stick with. This is my new favorite t-shirt brand and I'm ordering more.

Great bang for your buck, and very durable.
Good but slightly heavier weight wicking t-shirt. Not the best for the hotter days, but a great base layer for most seasons. They don't shrink in my experience and hold their shape very well. My only gripe is that in XXL, the sleeeves are slightly longer than I would like and may stick out under short sleeve button down shirts, but for the price and performance I love them. I own three and will be buying more soon.

Durable with high neck
The collar/neck on this shirt is the best I’ve ever worn. Perfect for 17” necks and smaller - doesn’t sag or droop. Very durable material and stands up to many washings.

Different than older shirt I own.
I've had over a dozen of the Dri-Balance shirts and something is different with the these shirts I just bought a month ago. Doesn't seem to be the same material. Feels different, although that might be the age of my older shirts compared to the new stuff. Collars fold over easily where my old collars are now slightly sagging. My older T-shirts are over 4-7 years old. . I'm going to give it a few more months and redo this review if I find the 3 stars are not warranted.

Wicking shirts that are actually comfortable
I bought several of these years ago to serve as hiking and exercise shirts, and finally had to replace them with new ones. I dislike most wicking shirts because they cling to your skin and hang awkwardly, but the material of these shirts is much closer to cotton in terms of how they feel. Despite that, they do not stay damp like cotton shirts do.The XL shirts do run a little big, which I like anyways.
