Level Lock Smart Lock - Previous Model - Polished Brass

This review is for the Level bolt. Install was a breeze. Just read and follow instructions. I have had this item for over a year and it is still working perfectly. All of the features for this lock work as they should. Lag time is very minimal. Battery life is good. About 8 months. I changed it before it was nearly dead. Overall for me it was an excellent purchase. I highly recommend the Level Bolt as a smart lock.

Seems like using the key throws off the ability to control from the app meaning everything was working fine until one of our family members used the key to lock it. We couldn’t get in without the key through either HomeKit or the Level app. Couldn’t connect via Bluetooth even after turning off WiFi. We tested the theory and sure enough using the key was a problem. So now we carry the key. Most recently the lock stopped working entirely - we can’t use the key, the indoor latch or the apps. The door may not have been fully closed causing the latch to get stuck. Removed the lock, removed the possible cause of obstruction when the door isn't fully closed, reinstalled, and we haven't had issues.

I’ve installed my new level lock and am happy with the convenience and performance it provides. With my home’s living areas on the second floor and only an entry door at street level the ability to unlock the door remotely is a big deal. This product provided a great solution I’ve been looking for.I recommend it for anyone looking for tech enabled entry door security

I have been using for about year now. Bought it for apple home kit but it 99% of time does not work remotely.

If you consider getting out your iPhone, saying, ‘hey Siri, open door’ then waiting 10 seconds for it to happen ‘smart’, you should have a good hard look at yourself. Just use a bloody key. These things are useless. I am so upset that I wasted $200 on this rather than paying $40 for a standard kwikset-type lock (which looks identical). It works by Bluetooth, so literally only works if you have your phone within a few feet of it. I have HomeKit hubs (appletv + iPad + HomePod mini) about 15-20 feet from each door… and the signal never reaches them. I can’t use the locks remotely at all (outside the house etc.).

The lock works very well specially if you connect it to ring.

Clever product, well constructed. I got this all-in-one unit and also the bolt that fits inside a very specific list of existing hardware. I managed to install both of them myself, but really should have hired a locksmith instead. If the Apollo mission folks published their how-to documentation in the same succinct form as the Level lock instructions it would've read "1) sit on top of rocket, 2) light fuse, 3) send selfies from moon." Installing these things is much, much, MUCH more finicky and challenging than the three or four panels of illustrations in the instruction book even remotely indicate. Now that they're in and working I'm happy I got them, but that's mostly because the human species has, by design, a limited memory for painful experiences.
