Excellent Electric Razor!!
I purchased this to replace my old Phillishave which I'd left behind somewhere on holiday!! I was looking for a smaller razor which would be more suitable for travelling with. Well......this one is just perfect!!! For travel, it has a "lock" feature which prevents it being accidentally switched on during transport. It's neat and tidy, with a built in long hair trimmer (my Phillishave had a separate trimmer which was always a nuisance to change over). When fully charged, it has more than enough power for a whole week of shaves, indicating the power left in percentages. Even better, it can be recharged quickly from any USB power source (I've successfully used hotel sockets, a USB charging plug, and a USB PowerBank!!) Full charging takes around 30-45 minutes. I'm just back from touring Australia, and the razor was absolutely perfect. It can be used dry, or in a shower and is very easy to clean under running water. I now use it every day and am delighted with the quality of shave that it gives. Every bit as good as a Phillishave.......but actually much better and cheaper!

Good value razor (follow-up review)
See follow-up comments after 1st reviewBrilliant battery life had 10 shaves with 2nd charge. Bought it for use as a back-up spare and also take away on holiday rather than main razor. Like the USB charging as it cuts down on bulky plugs. As a cheap back-up it meets all my needs.Had the razor some two months now and taken it away on two, week long, cycling holidays. Performance and quality of shaves are so good that I've promoted this razor to my first choice every day. Just note that over the last 2-3 years I've been using a £230 Braun 9000 series razor and then a £170 Braun 7000 series razor. In fact 5 of the 9000 series and 2 of the 7000 series all returned owing to software faults! Beautiful razors to hold but absolute dogs to use. In 7 months I bought 3 replacement shaving heads for the 7000 series. At £39 a time that is expensive shaving. The razor ripped my face to bits when the foils failed despite careful usage. The shaved results were not that good also - never again. What is good about the Max-T razor is there is no painful feeling in my skin during and after shaving. In addition, it's a closer shave than any of the previous razors - didn't expect to make that comment with a £26 razor. I originally bought the razor as if it turned out to be no good in use then £26 was not a lot to loose. Nice being proved wrong.

Impressed with razor so far
In short I like it so far.Apart from about 3 years when I had a foil shaver I HAD been a daily Philishave user for over 65 years. My last two Philishave shavers however have been expensive failures. One Battery failed 2 days outside warranty and then the shaver head failed on its replacement. A new head was quite expensive (more than this shaver) and quite soon started falling off while shaving.Despite some concerns about trying an unknown brand I decided to try MAX-T after looking at a number of alternatives. It is still early days but so far I am impressed. It is currently not giving quite as close a shave as some of my previous razors but is at least as good as my two most recent ones and seems to be improving. Based on my previous experience it will probably improve further as it beds in over the next few weeks. I only use it as a dry shaver before my shower, just like all my previous razors. It as FAR easier to clean than the two most recent Philishave razors. It cost about the same as the replacement shaving head which then only lasted a few months before it started falling off while shaving.I like the display of battery state and the battery lasts well enough (over a week) and seems to be improving as it is now giving me a closer shave in less time as I get used to it.I was initially concerned that I could not charge it using my existing UK shaver socket. It would obviously be far more convenient to charge in the bathroom. UK regulations require an isolated shaver socket and I could not find a UK shaver to USB adaptor. I did however find a European 2 pin to USB adaptor on Amazon and further research on the relevant standards showed that it had only slightly different (pin spacing) from the UK shaver plug. It does fit perfectly into my UK shaver socket! The transformer isolation in the shaver socket provides the essential safety isolation. This is what I bought https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09MWF1JQX?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details

As good as the premium brands
For several decades I have used the expensive premium rotary shavers from the best known brand. These were great but I always thought that they were not real value for money, especially the replacement blades and washing fluid.A year ago I tried a shaver that was cheaper than the replacement blades for the above shavers. It was a mixed experience. The shave was closer but it was quite harsh on my skin and the battery life was bad. It started to have issues after a year. This was disappointing but I thought I'd give it another go and bought this shaver - still cheaper than the replacement blades. I'm so pleased that I did. It's as good a shave if not better than any I've had. It' not harsh on the skin. The battery life will be in weeks. It looks like 5-6 weeks at the moment and I am a fussy shaver so take my time. Also, it's so quiet. Also it's easy to clean and will be easy to charge as it's just a USB connection. I haven't charged it yet as it arrived fully charged. In short I'm very very pleased with it. I recommend it - just get one.
