Top loading hiking backpack/knapsack, loading design opening is one of a kind
First month review: I purchased this backpack to supplement my ever-growing collection of backpacks as a gear aficionado. One of the main reasons I was drawn to the Naturehike 40+5L is the unique top loading design. Take a regular large size hiking backpack then combine the loading design of a dry sack, then you have this product. For many backpacks, you are limited by the loading capacity due to the design of the inner compartment: there are two zippers which limit how much the backpack can expand. With a "freestyle" top loader, you can stack as much as you can as long as the load is balanced. As a person that frequently visits grocery and warehouse stores using my backpack for the items, loading functionality is an important factor to me as well as the comfort of the overall design. On the first test run I've brought it out on a grocery run and as predicted, I was able to load all my items pretty quickly like a shopping bag that I could throw over my shoulders after checking out of the line.General product specs:- Weights about ~2.5lb empty- 2 side water bottle pockets- 2 waist/quick loader side pockets- 1 large external mesh pocket ~30+ cm depth (large size bulky items, hydration pack, or a large jacket, blanket, puffy items like a giant bag of chips, etc)- 1 medium ~20cm depth easy access pocket (behind logo)- 1 small/medium zipper pocket at bottom (default for rain cover)- 1 large internal main compartment, default rated to load 40L+- 1 small drawstring pocket attached to shoulder straps (~5L)I loaded one of my largest sofa pillows (26"x17"x5" or roughly 66x40x13 cm) just to see how much heat it could take on the cargo space. To my surprise it took it in with a bit of squeezing. I envision this will be the general capacity limit for the all rounder question, "can it fit xyz"I threw in a photo of a comparison with an older REI Co-op Flash 65L as a baseline I've used on various long distance trips. It felt similarly built in ergonomics and you can clearly notice the top loading aspect of this bag allows it to fill in more. I envision this will be ideal for a camping trip where we need to drop many large or generally oversized items to the campsite and this will be the primary function for.Looking forward to giving a review update the next time around.

Great for a budget pack
Ok, I am aware that this pack gets some bad reviews on YouTube but, either Naturehike has fixed a couple or they're just not noticed by me. Having never used a high dollar pack I can't make comparisons but I find this pack to be "comfortable enough". It held everything I needed for an overnight hike with room for more. The hip belt pockets are very small. I used them for small snacks. The water bottle pocket on the shoulder strap is small and mounted pretty high. I use it for my phone and reading glasses and purchased an add-on bottle holder for the other strap. Also, you need to be pretty flexible to pull a water bottle from the pockets on the side of the pack. I just can't do it. Definitely won't stand on it's own while loaded making it a bit of a hassle to pack. Overall I am pleased with mine.

A Cute Hiking Backpack
The media could not be loaded. I ordered on Sunday and the package arrived the following Tuesday. It is a very cute hiking backpack with many useful small packets. I ordered a blue & black combination with size 40L/45L one, which is good for both woman and man to use. The back side is very soft and comfortable for a long day hiking.

Chinese knock-off that wont fit humans
Although this possess good features, when it comes down to Ergonomics , the science of wearability, it fails miserably. The shoulder straps are sewn so close together that it barely fits my grandsons neck . The pain and suffering that thru hikers experience comes more from poor fitting equipment and less from miles walked. Chinese knock-offs are flooding this sport, enticed by cheep pricing and devoid of functionality. Trust me and all the dollars Ive wasted on knock-offs, if it involves touching your body, spend the money for quality gear or you will be buying it twice. There is an incredible cottage industry in the states composed of gear that genuine hikers toil over to correct gear imperfections realized from first hand experience. Not even the very best, extensive researched gear fits everyone but your will be further ahead. Good luck !

Dont believe everything you hear!!!
I can say I am very pleased by this pack. I was expecting something a bit more on the "cheap" side but was totally wrong! I am enjoying this pack and the different features it has i.e. Bungees everywhere, pockets, mesh pouches, roll down cinches etc.. A couple of downsides are, non adjustability , I'm 6'1", 225 and the pack fits me perfect. I don't think it would work very well for ladies ( sternum strap ) or shorter people. Another is the location of the side pouches, they are too far back to retrieve and return water bottles comfortably. Aside from those little nitpicks , this pack is totally a good buy!

21 inch torso fits perfect
Just got my bag today. I packed it with all mine gear for the Appalachian trail in 2022, bag feels good it fits perfect and it's lightweight can't wait to use it on the hike. It's better than what I expected I give it five stars.
