Scala Women's Sewn Braid Visor

Good Basic with Issues. I ordered the black and it came with several white scratches on it, however given it is black, used amarker to cover the scratches. The visor ran a little smaller than other Scala visors that I have. Also, the edging on the visor wasa little frayed.........more so than other Scala visors that I have been wearing for years that are still in better shape.Would not purchase again, given this item has several issues.

Personally liked that it was smaller than my other sun hats but you get way more shade coverage than a regular hat. Wore it alll weekend for a festival and it even got rained on and kept its shape.

I have a love / hate relationship with this hat. I wore this hat on our beach vacation to the Oregon coast. It was chilly the whole time so I wore long sleeves, jeans, flip flops and this hat. I didn't really want to have to wear a hat at all. I wanted to be like my olive skinned sister in law who threw on some sunglasses and let the sun shine on her face. But alas, I am a pale Irish girl. After a few hours outside the tops of my feet were bright red but my face and chest were untouched by the sun thanks to this hat. I can't give it a perfect score, the way the hat slants down is irritating because it obscures your view a little. Then again that may be why it protects so well. Also, when it came out of the packaging it was shaped funny so I had to roll it up and keep it that way for a day or so before I could wear it. All in all, I'm glad I purchased this hat and even more glad that I wore it and saved my face and chest from sunburn.

I bought one of these Scala visors several years ago, and loved it. I was disappointed that this one was not up to previous standards. Instead of being of a substantial, raffia-like material, like the other one, this one is a thin lightweight almost plastic-feeling material, and the velcro is not high quality, so it does not stay closed and on my head. Also, the white velcro strip shows on the black visor and looks tacky - they should have used black velcro. While it looks ok on, it is really not usable for me because of those issues.

I like the look and the material that this is made with. What I didn't like was the way it went over my ears. I couldn't get it to stay high enough over my ears to keep from sitting on them and that was uncomfortable. The visor I had - that looked quite similar - had the brim start just in front of my ears, so that was never a problem. The workmanship is good, the material is a quality material. But since it was not comfortable to wear, I returned it.

This black hat is huge. It was so huge it didn’t fit even my husband’s huge head. I bought 2 others & they were fine. Too lazy to send back.

This light-weight visor is is very comfortable and has a longer brim than most. It provides good sun protection for the face. A friend recommended it to me and I'm so glad she did.

I ordered this visor to use on a recent vacation to the Caribbean. When it first arrived, I was afraid that it was going to look really goofy because the visor is SO big! But, it worked perfectly and kept the sun off my face and out of my eyes. It is quite comfortable and the cloth band absorbs moisture and keeps the straw from scratching. It has good coverage on the sides, which really protects your eyes. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to keep the sun out of their eyes - the only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is that the stitching on the brim is a little crooked. A minor detail, but detracts a bit from the appearance.

Loved wearing this on holiday and protected me well from the sun.

Fits great. Good workmanship. Will buy again.
