What you need in a pinch!
The Clore Automotive Jump-N-Carry JNC770R 1700 Peak Amp Premium 12 Volt Jump Starter is an excellent, reliable tool for anyone who wants a powerful and durable jump starter. It has consistently impressed me with its ability to jump-start a variety of vehicles, from small cars to larger trucks, thanks to the 1700 peak amps and 12V capacity. I appreciate its heavy-duty clamps and long cables, which make it easy to connect to hard-to-reach batteries. The built-in digital display is a great feature, providing helpful information about the battery’s status, and the overall design is robust and solidly built. The additional features like a USB port and a 12V power output come in handy for charging devices on the go, making this more versatile than a standard jump starter. However, it is on the heavier side, which can make it a bit cumbersome to carry, and it requires proper storage and charging to ensure it's always ready to go. Overall, it has become a valuable tool in my car emergency kit, providing peace of mind with its reliable performance and quality.

Works Great
I don’t like hooking up batteries. Long story short I have been zap to the point it permanently affected my heart (not a vehicle batter). So I am scared to connect and disconnect a car battery. Having said that, this was easy to charge and easy to use. I have an older car that drains the battery. I have been left stranded several times. This allowed me to start my car almost right away. It also is still charged enough that I could get another start from it even though it says to charge between battery jumps. It has a place to put the clamps back onto. They feel secure to the device once properly clamped in.I am very impressed with it. Well worth the money to ease my worries of being left stranded because I forgot to kill switch my battery. If this battery charger ever died I would definitely replace with the exact same one. Please with my purchase.

Don't buy the cheaper jump box this one is worth the money. You won't be disappointed.
I've had two cheaper Stanley brand jump boxes that eventually got to the point where they just wouldn't charge enough to jump my gasoline powered V8 Chevy Suburban. I'm semi retired now and don't drive it near as much as I did when working full time. If I don't drive it at least once every 5 days or so the battery drains to the point to where it won't even let me unlock the doors with the remote. This is apparently due to drain on the system from the after market security system by Cobra. I have too much valuable equipment and appliance parts on board in order to not use the burglar alarm. So damned if I do and damned if I don't. I tried a small solar cell device to maintain a charge but it was insufficient to the job. I like that this jump box displays the current voltage of the battery once you connect the cables to the battery. The last time I jumped it the battery was at 2VDC. I have jumped my truck a half dozen times without having to charge the jump box and it never hesitates to spin the motor over on the first turn of the ignition key. I've plugged the jump box in a couple of times as I figured by then it must need recharging but each time it has displayed the FUL indication on the digital read out. This unit is about half again heavier than the Stanley models I've had in the past so the battery must have a larger physical capacity. The Stanleys were 1000amp units where this one is rated as 1700. I've had this unit for almost 2 months now and used it 6 to 8 times and it gets the job done every time even if the truck won't stay running because the idle is too low because the battery is too low. Jump it again repeatedly until it stays running and the jump box never failed to have enough power. Granted the Stanleys were about half the price of this unit but this one seems to be built for the long haul and multiple times a day if needed. Would even work good for the guy with a wrecker service making those dead battery emergency calls several time a day.

THIS BOX IS A BEAST
I worked in a shop for 6 years, This jumpbox was in the shop the day I started and it was already used before that. The box never failed us once, It served well over 1000 cars on the low end!Endless service calls and jump starts!I had so much trust in this box that I bought it for myself when I ventured off and started my own business. No regretsHighly highly recommended

Dropped in quality.
My job requires me to jump-start multiple vehicles a week, and I have always bought Clore Automotive jump boxes for the past 10–15 years. The old ones could jump-start 50+ cars before needing a recharge, but this one dies after just a few jumps. After two jumps, I can see the voltage drop from 13.5V to 12.6V, and after two more, it’s already down in the 11s, requiring a recharge. This is completely unacceptable for a jump box of this price and weight.I usually buy the blue one, but the last one I purchased lasted only a year and was noticeably lower in quality. I asked other car dealers about their experiences, and they reported similar issues. So, I decided to upgrade to the more expensive model—and it is even worse. I would not purchase this jump box again.
