Has applications for book cloth and paste papers
Trying to learn bookbinding, I was looking for a light weight alternative to glass for drying bookcloth and paste paper, and these work very well. The film is sturdy, glass-smooth, and just nonstick enough to let cloth dry with a minimum of buckling. Glass works better, but the tradeoff in weight, storeability, and price makes the mylar a winner. Additionally, if I wet cloth on one sheet and paste my backing tissue onto another, placing the two sheets edge to edge I can tip the pasted paper onto the fabric and easily sandwich the two. Almost no wrinkling, almost no tearing the paste-fragile tissue. Then the mylar comes off the paste beautifully.

Perfect for my purpose!
I really like these stencil sheets. They are sturdy and well-made, as well as a good value. If your goal is to create your own stencils, I definitely recommend these.WHY I LIKE THEM:- The sheets are slightly translucent, so I was able to easily trace my pattern without a light box.- The material is thin enough to cut, while thick enough to hold its shape.- The shapes were relatively easy to cut out with a hot tip tool (I used a Walnut Hollow Versa Tool).Happy crafting!

For cookie stencils, works great
My wife airbrushes cookies, and I tried this instead of the (5? 7 mil?) stencil material we had before. They're nice and durable, and if you're using a CO2 laser cutter like I was, cut pretty well. I'm sold on using this stuff from now on.

Sturdy stencils
I bought this for making elaborate art nouveau wall stencils after the stencil blanks at the craft store proved too flimsy. These do not collapse under their own weight, even when left on the wall for an extended time. I cut mine with an X-acto knife. It works, but did require a lot more force than I could sustain comfortably. It also broke off the very point of the blade. Another tool would have been better.

Great reusable stencil
I wanted thicker stencils so that I can reuse them. These work great. I cut on cricut maker with fine blade, 350 pressure, and 7x passes.
