Very handy for saving lots of money on propane.
I recently saw the small bottles for over $12.00. This tool fills lots of bottles cheap. Do the math. I am glad I didnt trash my old ones dating back for many years. I knew I would find this adaptor sooner or later.I would use caution when re=filling like lots of you tubers say. Propane is dangerously cold and can kill a hand quick. I reccomend to just let it fill as partially as it does and forget about it. It does not have to be completely full to work.

Works as expected
There are a lot of reviews on this already so just adding my 2 cents. I'd like to reiterate: keep 1lb tank cold, large tank warm. This will produce highest yield. I get nowhere close to 1lbs but yields have been over 0.5lbs -0.7lbs which is fine for me. If you're looking to get 1lbs you should probably look at a different method or continue buying new. Product feels well made. I used a plastic one previously and it broke when I dropped it so opted for a metal one. I feel confident this will last time a while. One note is when removing adapter a fair amount of propane leaks. This did not happen with my other one but just an observation and not a deal breaker for me.

Works, cheap. Be careful working around propane.
TLDR: Adapter works to refill 1lb cylinders, and is fairly cheap at $7.Purchased for $7 from seller Inntech. Tested out using the freezer method and verified that it works. I'm sure the relief pin method will work as well, but chilling the 1lb container is a lot simpler then getting forceps or pliers to apply to the relief pin. Will also probably work even if you don't chill it, but you may not fill it as much. I weighed my bottle before and after and within a couple minutes from a full 20lb tank, the 1lb bottle weighed almost a half pound more (started empty at 13 ounces and bottle weighed 22 ounces after). Note that you can hear the bottle filling up - but at around 50% (where mine was at) the rate seems to be pretty slow...Important Note: If the 1lb container your refilling is a DOT39, make sure you don't transport it on public roads. If you need to transport, consider a refillable 1lb container instead - search amazon.

Tank adapter
Works great to fill my 1 lb bottles. I can save on mini bottles with this and my BBQ tank. Can fill about 15-18 bottles from a full tank. Wear gloves it will frost burn your hand if the gas hits you!

Impressed!
If you start your fires with a propane torch, GET THIS NOW!I chose this one because it's solid brass and I wasn't disappointed. I didn't even freeze my cylinder first and it filled first time, no problem. No more expensive propane cylinders for me!

Pays for itself pretty quick
Works exactly as advertised. I put my empty 1 lb tanks in the garage freezer for a couple days prior to refilling and I've had no problems getting 14.25 to 15 oz of propane from my 20 lb tank into the smaller bottles. Don't be afraid of refilling your small tanks. Don't mess with the pressure relief valve built into the 1 lb tank and just invert your big bottle, open the valve and wait until you no longer hear propane flowing. You literally cannot over fill the smaller bottles as once pressure between the two bottles equalizes, propane stops flowing. Just be very careful not to have anything that can spark or any sources of ignition nearby, refill your bottles outside away from the house and you'll soon love this little adapter like I do !!

Doesn't give a complete fill
It would only fill the tank to about half full and took an hour to do so. This adapter will still save you money but beware of it's limitations 😐.

works great/saves money/highly recomend if you have the aptitude.
This adapter works perfect. You must have the 1# cylinder much colder than the 5 gal bottle. Best way is to have the the 5gal bottle at room temp and freezer the 1# cylinders. Always fill with the 5 gal upside down to avoid vapor instead of liquid to enter the small cylinder. The amount you can transfer will be based on the temp difference between the 2 tanks. I have got more than a pound a few times and have had to dial it back a bit. You must pay attention to the 1# cylinders neck at the top of the bottle. Its the weak spot in their construction and can bend easily during filling if you're not careful.
