Holds salt. That's the most important bit really. The lid is nice for quick access compared to all the swivel tops I was seeing. Looks nice too. Nothing fancy but it's hard to fancify a salt cellar.

It serves the purpose if you’re looking to store something - it is small in size and very light in weight . Was disappointed with the lid does not sit well have to keep fidgeting to make it stay aligned and it does have a seal to close it too with some suction , so if you want something with light seal closed this isn’t a one for you . Think money paid did not do justice to the item . Kept it as needed it but won’t buy it again . Cons for me was the lid .
