So, first thing is that the "engraving" is actually some sort of grey printing, and it does begin to rub off pretty quickly. That said, this is a good quality braided leather necklace. The locking mechanism is a little difficult to open, but does stay locked when on, so I'm not afraid of it coming off and losing the necklace. For the price, I'd buy another one.

I have been wearing this leather necklace with a charm attached for a couple of months now and it has held up incredibly well. The latch mechanism is solid. I take it off when showering and it's been too cold to test how it handles the pool... but so far so good.
