Carrier design is simple and budget friendly
This would be super easy to install for the typical 4" x 4" camper bumper. But the bumper on my camper was slightly wider on one side and much narrower on the other. By simply drilling the holes in the carrier mount one size larger the C-clamp bolt holding the carrier on the bumper wrapped around the bumper and it fit, however, the c-clamp threading was intended for a 4" wide bumper, so I simply added a wood block to the bumper width so that the c-clamp fit as intended. The sturdiness of this product is as good as the strength of the bumper. I like the fact that it folds down so that you can mount it even if there is a vent behind it to access the vent.

worth every penny
cheep, effective, and so easy to put together and mount. I did not use this on an RV, but rather in the bed of my truck and it is by far an improvement. I am sure the mounting bolts that come with it work great but as I mounted it on something other than what it was intended I would have to say I don't know how well they work. over all time it took me to get this out of the box put together mounted to the vehicle and the wheel and tire on it maybe 5 minutes of work.

Excellent price and unit
Excellent price and unit. I don't use it for spare tire though---I find it to be a great support bracket for supporting my multi-ladder on the rear of my RV. Ladder attaches to the RV on board ladder and then is supported and attached to this bracket. No bouncing around and great support for a heavier ladder(23 ft model). Off usage I realize, but the bracket works great and is strong enough I don't have to worry about my heavy duty ladder falling off. Recommended.

It is easy to install
This tire mount is reasonably priced and works well. It is easy to install. All required hardware is included and is of good quality. It took about 15 minutes to install on the trailer and another 15 minutes to install the tire. The design worked well with my 5 bolt wheel. It will probably accommodate most wheel sizes and bolt configurations. .

Super easy installation
I purchased this to put on my RV Trailer, it installed in minutes and supports my 222/75R15 spare tire with ease. I also have 6 lug rims and I had no problem putting the spare on it. It also has a nice feature where you pull a pin to lower the tire down to get to your rear storage OR if you don't have rear storage you can bolt it permanently upright. (It comes with the parts to do it either way.) I also liked the "lip" on the mounting plate that holds it to the bumper, it distributes the weight so the provided U-Bolts aren't carrying all of the load.

Good but not great for my needs
I've installed this on my Casita travel trailer in order to take the new 15" spare off the back bumper where it pressed up against the fiberglass body of the trailer. The ease of installation of this tire carrier is great, but I have two complaints. 1) With all bolts tightened and the spare mounted per the instructions, there is a good amount of wobble in the carrier (I can push on the tire and the entire carrier arm will twist left and right...the edge of my 225/75R15 will move about a half inch closer and further away from the trailer during this twisting). 2) The bracket is now the lowest point on my bumper by almost an inch, decreasing the already low departure angle (in practical terms, there's a good chance this bracket plate will scrape, if not catch, when descending driveways at gas stations or descending trails). This may be unavoidable in a bumper-bracket style carrier, but you should be aware of it before purchasing.

So far so good
Used on the back of a travel trailer. This is now the third of these we have owned. All different brands. The first two broke. The last one quite dangerously. This one seems more solid. It uses bolts where others use welds that fail. I am hoping it will last.

Perfect
Exactly what we needed. Our camper had the spare mounted underneath the camper and it was literally a two man job to get it down and that was in the drive way. Now think about being a senior, in the rain, at night, on the side of the road thats right you need to be set up if this happens to you. While you are ordering this mount, I recommend that you order a stabilizer clamp that eliminates any vibration, a cordless impact and also a bottle jack Also you can get a torque wrench for like $30 and you are set as long as you have decent flash lights.
