Perfect!
The book is small but it’s perfect. Each page is filled with example illustrations. I am very pleased with this book. I’m going to order the rest of the collection.

Unique spine means the book lays flat!
I wanted to gush about this book and Morpho reference books in general after I saw it catching flak for the spine. These books are bound in a method called Coptic binding and the cover is specifically NOT glued onto the spine so that you get the full benefit of the book laying flat when open! I honestly wish more reference books would adopt this method. This makes the Morpho books very easy to work from since you don't need to hold or clip them open. The tutorials are very clear and these books have been great to have around for quick reference!

Perfect for AP art student
My daughter is in AP art and this is a perfect compliment to her class. She found it easy to follow and very helpful. She also liked the small size making it easy to take with her school

General drapery principles applied over the figure
So, for wrapping your head around how to apply basic drapery principles to moving, gesturing humans, this is great. Wonderful little crash course in what to look for, how to identify what's happening where and why.I was looking for more of a reference resource, I suppose. Realllly hoping for more attention to men's formal wear and tight pants - most of the formfitting examples are women's dresses and the approach to them doesn't really apply to men in skinny jeans. Most garments depicted are flowing, comfortable, and relatively soft, and fits tend to skew toward baggy than fitted. This shows off the drapery principles well, but doesn't really cover many stiffer or tighter use-cases. Nevertheless, there is surprising diversity of how to treat various garments that I wouldn't have expected to see. These supplementary Morpho books really collect more "a little bit of everything" on their given subject in 90-100 pages rather than being definitive or a reference book that can help with troubleshooting specifics. And in that role, they have great drawings, great notes, and a very appealing style.

Super useful handbook
If you’re looking for a succinct and well-illustrated visual guide with minimal prose, this is the book for you. If you’re looking for a more academic guide with some literature to accompany it, you might want to look elsewhere. But for a very reasonably-priced handbook, this will have much of the visual information most students and illustrators will require to bring their drawings an extra sense of realism and detail.

More bang for your buck
This is my first book in the Morpho collection, but it certainly won't be my last. The instructions are simple and clear, making it easy for artists who may be less experienced. It also lays flat on your table, which is a Godsend when it comes to using it as a reference while you're drawing. All in all, a great purchase.
