I love getting all these embroidery hoop for such a low price. I like using the wooden ones because I usually frame what I've made in the hoop and give them as gifts. Most of the designs I stitch look good framed this way and I sometimes glue lace onto the back of the hoop when it's appropriate. If the reciprient doesn't like the hoop they can take it apart and use their own frame. They are very good quality hoops - no splits in the wood, they're well sanded so you don't get any splinters using them either. They can be painted if you need a different color hoop for the frame.
