Does the job!
I really like the matt-black color it gives, rather than shiny options. Didn’t smell anything when I applied it the first time and then starting the fire. I will happily cover my camping barbecue with this on a yearly basis, as it does take a few knocks during a camping trip.

interaction with grease and oils
I purchased this to spray the outside surfaces of a cast iron cooking pot. Having prepared the surface I sprayed and allowed time to dry followed by "cooking" the pot over a charcoal BBQ. The paint is unaffected by heat which is as advertised however oils (coconut or olive oil) seem to soften and strip the paint off. Resulting in a sticky black residue. I would not recommend using this product to coat BBQ cookware.
