Still the best lead I've ever used
I've been a fan of Japanese mechanical pencils for a few years now, and recently discovered the amazingness that is 0.3mm leads. I no longer write with any pencils thinner than 0.3mm, since these give me way more breathing room when writing math symbols and code on paper (I'm a computer science student). When using these with my Pentel Graph Gear 1000, the leads barely ever break and write extremely smoothly. The only problem is that these do wear down fairly quickly, but that's the reason for buying a huge supply like this.

A reliable, quality lead.
I've used Pentel leads exclusively over the past 40 years as a cartoonist/comic artist, and they never disappoint. Always uniform, predictable, and readily available. This particular hardness works exceptionally well on rough toughed papers, and erases easily, which is a trademark of Pentel Leads. I don't recommend this grade for writing because of how light it goes down, even with enough pressure to break the lead, but for doing light layouts for more detailed pencil or ink work, it's an ideal grade that will not leave your pages sooty with graphite.

Pentel is Great, as always
I am an 'architectural dinosaur' in that I still do a lot of my design work and working drawings with pencils. I have been using Pentel pencil leads since I started drafting in high school (58 years) and the quality has been consistently the best available.

Writes like a dream
My kid loves this product and only uses it for her maths homework.

not so great
the only problem i have with the lead is they aren't very comfortable. in fact they feel very stiff to draft or even write with. which end up making terrible experiences while using it. it was a great deal for the amount of lead i got but honestly, if i would have known i wouldn't sacrifice quality for the low price

IT’S NOT 2H
They were supposed to be dark and soft. They are the opposite! I wish I could return them!!

Not much to say other then they work as expected.

It’s quite hard.
At .03 mm you choose for hardness so it doesn’t break as often when you’re drawing or you get a softer lead and expect it to constantly break. This was too hard for me but Pentel delivers on quality.
