amazing throw for such a small flashlight
I have accumulated a lot of flashlights over the years. All serve different purposes of course but this little flashlight is a great thrower in a tiny package. With the standard battery, I actually think it is too small. So I used a samsung 18650 battery and the extension tube and now it is the perfect size. I have thrower flashlights that cost 3x as much and honestly, they are only marginally better than this little guy. It has become my favorite thrower flashlight as it is so compact, I can carry it very easily. I've used it hunting, hiking and the wife has used it on her walks and it does a great job. The central hotspot is very long reaching and the spill area gives a nice mid range wider light. Even on medium, the thing will light up 100 yards. When you see how tiny it is, and how far it lights up... any flashlight fan should consider adding one to your collection. I have an o-light that cost me twice as much and is not as powerful. This light is well built and is working really well so far. I will update if things change but for now... I have it a two thumbs up.

Great little pocket spotlight
Good stuff:- Extremely bright and long-reaching for such a small light.- Impressively even color; I don't see any yellow/blue fringes or other nonuniformities at all, which is fairly rare.- Convenient to charge with USB-C, requiring no external battery charger.- Extension tube lets you trade a bit of compactness for roughly double runtime if you want.Bad stuff:- No pocket clip. I guess it's a bit on the bulky side for carrying in your pocket, but if it had a pocket clip, I would use it. The fact that it doesn't makes it awkward to carry on my person, so it mainly lives in my backpack.- Confusing one-button controls. While you can access turbo and firefly modes directly, you have to cycle through the low/medium/high settings to select one of them, meaning that you can end up being forced to jump straight from firefly to high before you can select low. I really wish we could escape from this madness and just have separate "brighter" and "dimmer" buttons, but alas.- Rapidly overheats when used at both of its top two settings, giving only 20 seconds in turbo mode and 60 seconds in high mode before stepping back to about 600 lumens. The turbo mode doesn't bother me; 20 seconds at 2500 lumens is pretty useful, and it would be silly to expect such a tiny light to handle so much power for much longer than that. However, I do kind of expect high mode on a flashlight to be a "maximum sustained power" setting, and it's really not that here. Strangely, this flashlight doesn't even seem to have such a setting, as medium mode is about half the brightess of high mode after it steps down.- Requires a top-notch battery. I tried putting an 18650 from my Nitecore headlamp in it with the extension tube, but I guess this has trouble delivering enough power to run the turbo mode. As a result, trying to use turbo mode seems to "crash" the flashlight, resulting in a brief bright flash of light followed by completely unresponsive controls until I take the battery out and put it back in. I get that it's sort of my fault for using a substandard battery, but I wish the light could handle this situation a bit more gracefully (i.e. by dimming down) instead of becoming temporarily unusable.

Best deal for a small powerhouse
Catapult mini pro- For its size it is extremely bright and has a very long throw. THE BATTERY EXTENSION TUBE IS NOT USELESS as one reviewer mentioned. The larger battery that can be used in this is a rechargeable 18650 lithium that can easily be found online and I highly recommend getting it if you want the light to run longer and be slightly brighter. Personally I’d recommend getting an Orbtronic 18650 3500mah. I have always had good luck with this manufacturer. Back to the light, right now, as I write this, they are selling the catapult mini pro for only 40 bucks, which is an excellent bargain. The other mini catapults, which I also own, also throw very far, but they don’t have the flood that the mini pro has and/or don’t come with an extension tube for the 18650 battery and they are more expensive. I’m so happy with this light I’m probably going to buy another so I can have one in pristine condition and use the other for working.

Tiny, very bright. Useless extension tube
Very bright. I like the small size. The button control is a little different, but works great after you get used to it.This comes with an extender tube to use a larger battery, 4 stars because they don’t seem to sell the bigger battery for this, and a standard battery fits but doesn’t support the brightest turbo mode.

Insane thrower for it's size!
Man does this thing throw some light! Very tight focused beam with almost no spill its like a white laser. It's not for everyone but living in a urban area I like being able to light up something at a distance without having any spill. It's not very practical for edc but definitely has its place. Awesome battery life and love the usb c charging port. I've yet to run it down far enough where it takes very long to charge it back up to full. I was finally able to really test its capabilites to the fullest by heading up to a lookout point at a local lake where there is almost no light pollution. I was absolutely amazed at how far it throws. It was actually able to reach the other side of the spillway. I only have two gripes and that is I wish they sold an 18650 battery tube not necessarily for better battery life but it would make it easier to hold...its slightly awkward because it's so short. I definitely recommend the lanyard it comes with. The other is there is a small amount of parasitic drain caused by the user interface. If you are regularly using and charging it this won't be an issue but if you plan to charge it and leave it in your car for a month and decide you need it this isn't the light for you. It's a very small amount of drain and wouldn't be an issue unless it's been a couple weeks. Overall super happy with this one!
