Wow! Just got it. Probably 1/4-1/2” thick. Just put it in my first batch. We’ll see how it does! So far, very impressed by the size and quality of the SCOBE. Looked like a thick slice of tomato. We’ll see how it tastes after 7 days or so.

This SCOBY turned out to be impressively strong. Within a week it produced a solid 5 mm pellicle even in a batch of green tea that had residual bergamot - a combination that can stress or weaken many cultures. Not every SCOBY can thrive in those conditions, but this one handled it without any issues. A very robust starter.

Makes good Kambucha. It took a couple of batches for it to get balanced. Don’t be discouraged if the first couple batches aren’t super-duper excellent. Keep it up. Good value

Arrived in good condition and started growing nicely after a few brews. Looks healthy and active. I named it Bubblee 😄 and it’s been doing its job well so far. Easy to work with and no issues getting kombucha started. Happy with it.

Ease of use: I have been making kombucha tea for several months and wanted to increase my productivity by purchasing 2 of the premade scoby and starter liquid sets as it’s difficult to find raw unflavored kombucha in my area to start my own. The scoby looked healthy upon arrival however there was not a lot of starter tea. Maybe MAYBE a cup. Typically I use minimum one cup, usually two. The scoby was not as large as I expected. I let all this slide because I was excited to use the product. After less than a week, my f1 had mold in both batches. As the scoby is not necessary to do your f1 but the starter tea is. This was a hopeful venture that disappointed. I will say it was packaged nicely and the scoby looked healthy. I have not had mold before and I’ve processed everything the same as normal. I can’t 100 percent state the mold was due to the product but I can’t say it wasn’t. I can state I won’t try this route again.

Excellent quality and results! Fast delivery. Successful first brew! Brewed 4 wks, created healthy baby scoby & very enjoyable kombucha tea. Now I have 2 half gallon new batches brewing! Excited to enjoy my own ongoing supply of home brewed kombucha! (and avoid the store bought prices!!!) Thank you for providing such an excellent product!!!

I can't tell you how much I enjoy making kombucha with your mothers this was my second perches and am all out but would defiantly buy again
