I really like this product, it is so versatile. So far ive used it as a backpack cover to keep it dry in my kayak. It is also super great as a storage hammock, can easilly hang it underneat the hammock and fit a bunch of stuff. I have yet to use it as a chair.

I bought this gear sling because it's cheaper then whats out there but also claims to hold much more weight and it can be used as a chair. I took the gamble and it turns out.... it's good but, you need to make a few modifications. Well worth it in the end because this can now hold at least 200 lbs, after modifications.When I receive this I immediately hung it up and stuck my pack and some other gear in it and low and behold; wonderful! It holds everything and I can also access it whenever I want without getting out of the hammock, beautiful! So then I decided to try it out as a chair... that didn't go so well. I weigh 195 lbs, somewhere in the comments I remember seeing the company stated that the paracord could hold 200 lbs, you just need to use some other equipment to set up the hammock as a chair. Well, I didn't us anything different; and I sat in the sling. I should say I very, very, slowly sat in the sling. I totally felt sketched out but it was holding for a few seconds and I was like "See; it's hol..." SNAP! and my butt hit the ground. The string/paracord busted! It's not very good cordage unfortunately, so don't try that, LMAO!Modification PartOK, so I actually bought a few other things that make this much better. First off I changed the cordage to 6' on each side using 550 black reflective paracord and restrung the hammock. Then I replaced the red tensioners that came with the hammock with stainless steel tensioners of the same style. Now this gear hammock can hold much more than 200 lbs and actually be used as a mini hammock/seat without anything extra such as hammock straps and carabiners.I do want to mention that the fabric looks to be strong and in great condition as well as the stitching after sitting in it a few times testing this thing out. I also fell asleep in it and it never broke. I'd say that's pretty cool! This hammock gear sling is triple stitched at the ends, so long as the stitching holds your good. Recommended!

I have taken this out camping many times. I love it! Very convenient for keeping camping gear, night clothes, hats, gloves, book to read and sidearm off the ground and handy. All right there in arms reach. When I set everything up to try it at home, the cat decided she likes it too 🙂 Highly recommend!
