Cautiously optimistic. No more gopher holes. Important instructions missing though...
I used this to tackle a gopher problem. I wasn't sure it had worked at first because I kept seeing holes. But I am cautiously optimistic as there has been no new holes for at least a week. I applied it about 3-4 weeks ago.IMPORTANT: For some reason, they instructions they give are really inadequate. I read an article about using castor oil, which is why I bought this, and you need to apply in a specific way. You have to start on the good grass, then water it in (at least 20 minutes). Next day, apply to another section of grass, in the direction you are trying to push out the gophers. Water it in. Next day, another section, still in the direction away from the good grass, towards where you are pushing them out. Water it in. Repeat until you have gotten to the edge of your property. This is supposed to push them out of your yard in a controlled way, so they won't run in all directions.

Worked for Voles in MA
We had a crazy reveal after all the snow melted last year where Vole's had ripped up our lawn. I tried to fill each hole with gravel, and the gravel kept getting dug back up.We saw them quite a bit in the next few weeks, and researched how to get rid of them. I picked this up and went outside to use it. First off, the stuff does not smell great, but that is also why the Vole's don't like it either. I put a bunch down each hole, and then sprinkled it around the foundation of the house. It has been 5 months and the holes I filled have in while treating it have not been reopened. I also threw a bunch in with our irrigation system valves, as one of these guys had chewed through a number of wires. He hasn't returned here yet either.

It’s not that it doesn’t work, it’s the moles ...
It’s not that it doesn’t work, it’s the moles move to adjacent area, so you just keep applying & chasing them. We used the whole container & moles moved around & returned to applied areas. We ended up buying a set of four mole sonic repellers which seem to be working well & no more moles.

Supposed small varmint repellent- on the second round
This was a nice non-chemical alternative to poison or traps- Not that I wouldn't use traps for vermin. They deserve to die, if they destroy my yard. But this seemed the easiest to use. First attempt about a month ago- yet, last week, wife says her new garden has little holes.... so they're back (or they never left?). Got twice as much in a second order, and so, this time will apply to a broader swath, and then follow up going out to the borders of our property. Then again, in a month. We'll see...... Smell is def. Castor oil. Not repellent, just 'there.' Hope they hate it, little buggers....

IT WORKED HUMANELY
We had(hopefully HAD) a gopher saw it once in 3 years but recently we adopted a dog that could pick up the scent. Our dog would go crazy like a bloodhound smelling everywhere, we would almost have to drag him into the house. Within a months time we put two applications down and I would say it worked because our dog is no longer manic when he goes out. I felt bad pushing the gopher out but I didn’t want a confrontation between him and our dog not to mention we were finding tunnels everywhere on the lawn. They were getting dangerous.

It worked for me!
After talking with a rep. I have applied around the house in segments. . . each time before a rain. First application was an area around the back of the house. 2-3 weeks later I put down more in the same area and expanded out doubling the area. Each time I have expanded out a bit further from the house. The moles & voles have moved away as the granules have soaked into the ground. Had a reception in the backyard and this helped rid the yard of those tunnels just in time!

Basically useless
I live in southern California in a location where gophers are a notable problem. I did not want to poison them, however I did want to discourage their migration from my neighbor over to my front lawn. I used an entire bottle of this product over several weeks - following the instructions on the packaging - with no results. Evidently, the flavor of my lawn is more enticing than the bitterness of this stuff. Thought I'd give it a try - won't waste my money on this kind of remedy again.

Packing issue
This product seems to be working. Unfortunately, the box that contained multiple containers had an opened container. The postal carrier said he thought dirt was falling out of the box when he put it in his truck to deliver it, and the granules continued to fall out when we carried it into the garage. It is strange that the the top of the container was completely off when the box was opened in our garage, and the box contained about a 1/4 of the container's loose granules.
