Family Persimmon Soap (Pack of 2), 0.31 Pounds

I was looking for a new soap and decided to try this Family persimmon soap, and I'm so glad I did. The scent is unlike anything I've used before—it's incredibly light and refreshing, not overpowering at all. It lathers up beautifully and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft, not stripped or dry. The bars are a great size and last a long time. It's become a new favorite for my whole family, and the unique, clean scent is a big reason why.

So far I notice a huge difference. I think I was getting the old people greasy smell and layer behind my ears and in my bosom no matter how I washed. I did some research and the tannins in this seemed comparable to the crazy expensive stuff. First wash and no greasy feel or smell the next day when typically I would. I'm only 52 but I think I'm on to something. Hubby used it today too and he said he feels super clean too on his (bald) head and behind his ears. :)

I love this brand of anti-nonenal soap. My 83 year old father (and my scent receptors) appreciate that it is a long-lasting, traditional soap and not a glycerin-based bar that melts away into nothing just by looking at it. Lathers easily into a foam and cleans well.Pleasant citrus-y smell and while it does leave a slight film in hard water, isn't a problem- as this keeps "old person" smells at bay. Does not dry out or leave skin feeling papery.Highly recommended.

I've only used this 2x so far... first time I didn't notice any difference at all but the second time, it does seem to make me feel fresher and take away any funky smell... the bar is a hard milled soap which is good and I like because I read others talk about these soaps dissolving easily (I think the ones that are more glycerin based but use a soap saver or separate soap dish to drain it so it lasts)...I gave 4 stars because I 've only used twice but so far it seems like it's going to be good... will come back to update later after more use but it seems like good soap and price for this type of soap.

This mild soap works for body odor.Lathers and has a fruity fragrance.Two bars lasts forever.

I am 41 and since turning 40 I have noticed a very distinct change in my body odor and yes even in the smell of my urine. I have tried many different things and it appears this is just what happens as we hit middle age and beyond. Anyway, I have sensitive dry skin and I love Asian products. It does not bother me that the label is completely in Japanese, you can look at the listing and it tells you exactly what's in the soap. I think the soap lathers well it has good weight to it you can tell it is quality product. I'm not crazy about this scent but it's not overpowering and does not irritate my skin. It does however dry out my skin quite a bit more than Dove or Aveeno which I kind of expected but I don't love.It seems to help a little bit to be honest I'm not noticing the smell like I used to. I'm also a person that has a very sensitive sense of smell so I will probably continue to use. I would say if you are female probably shouldn't use this semi internally (if you catch my meaning). Scented and deodorant soap still should not be used on the labia. Aside from that using it on sweaty body areas like armpits feet and legs seems to work well for me.

This is an excellent soap for eliminating body odor, especially the kind often described as “old person smell.” It’s a cheaper alternative to Mirai.For best results, use a cotton ball soaked in an astringent (I recommend Clinique Clarifying Lotion #2) to thoroughly clean BEHIND your ears (and around your ears), your entire neck, and across your shoulder line. These areas often get overlooked but make the biggest difference when it comes to body odor. The white cotton balls are visually stained with dead skin cells and sweat, even though I cleanse daily. Also, lather the soap and work it well into the back of your head and neck. That combination really helps get rid of body odor and old people smell and make you feel more confident.

This soap works WONDERS for that old greasy smell that sometimes comes with aging. My husband is 62. His skin has become oily and he had started to have an unpleasant and odd smell by the end of the day. The older he’s gotten, the oiler his skin has become, especially his head. His side of the bed sheets had started getting greasy and smelly. His pillow was even worse! This problem really ramped up over the last year. I had no idea there was a soap that would help until I started researching. I bought this for him because it’s made in Japan, where they’ve been making and using persimmon soap for hundreds of years. I’ve read comments that it’s better than the other persimmon soaps made elsewhere and being sold at a much higher cost. Each bar last a long time. Removing regular bar soap from its package to let it air cure makes it last longer than a freshly opened bar so I imagine it would be the same for this soap, though it last a long time already. He uses this on his whole body, including his head/hair, though there’s not much hair left on top and he keeps his hair buzzed really short. I never dreamed of paying this much for bar soap but it’s worth every penny. This will be the only soap I’ll buy for him from now on.
