My First Book of Hockey: A Rookie Book (Sports Illustrated Kids Rookie Books)

This is an excellent book for beginner readers who what to learn the game of hockey. There is a lot of basic information in the book, and it’s written easily enough for for a child to understand.

This book is just perfect for the newbie hockey player (and the parents as well!). Good information, simply written with wonderful illustrations! I highly recommend.

My granddaughter learned all about hockey before her first game. She was able to watch the game and know what was going on.

For a beginner hockey player or fan, this book covers the essential basics/terminology of hockey in a simple and understandable way with colorful illustrations .. very good introduction for a 10 year old and under ..

My son is learning to play hockey and this was the perfect addition to his book collection. It is an easy read and the illustrations are great!

What an awesome book for a young hockey enthusiast! My only complaint: where are the girls / female players!?! I want my daughter to see people who look like her! Do better Sports Illustrated, it’s 2024.

This is a great intro to hockey for a kid! My son got it for his 8th birthday and has read it several times. He had just become interested in the game and this book lays out the basics in a cute, simple way.
