Just what the Dr ordered!
So, I ordered 2 of these to boost the air flow into my daughters bedrooms. Living in a tri-level house in the south, the upstairs bedrooms can be extremely difficult to cool. After installing these into the duct work, their rooms are the coolest in the house! In fact, I have to keep them turned all the way down to keep from freezing them out!I have read several posts that mention the noise level. Here's what I found. My oldest daughter's room has rigid, metal duct work. It has excellent air flow, but the metal transmits sound very efficiently. That being said, the fan is about 8 feet from the floor register and the sound is no louder than a typical fan you would have in the bedroom. She's had up to 3 fans going in there at once to try and cool off her room, so it's a non-issue for her! My youngest has flexible duct where I replaced it several years ago and you can't hear the fan at all.Overall, I am very pleased with these units. They work as advertised, maybe even better! The noise is very tolerable and were very easy to install. My only regret is I didn't order them sooner!

Great fan
Used for an attic fan along with a remote control. I used a splitter to of from 8" to 2 6" outlets. Works great. After several years it's still going strong. I would purchase again.

Decent Unit for the application.
Strange thing is we can barely hear it in the living room - just a few feet through the wall, but outside the sound travels through the air for several dozen yards -- not loud or unpleasant, but noticeable. Housing does not lend itself to attaching with self-taping sheet metal screws. It looks and feels like some sort of plastic and I was afraid to use screws and instead held it in place with duct tape (I have no way to take advantage of the mounting "foot") - I was surprised at how gentle the air flow from the outlet feels, I had expected more turbulence. I found the speed control unnecessary but could not find a suitable module without it.One word of caution when ordering this product. It may be worth a little extra money to specify UPS or FedEx - the default shipping was USPS and the delivery person left it sitting on top of my rural mail box - fortunately no one decided to help him/herself to a free gift. If accepting USPS be sure to follow the tracking data and be prepared to "camp out" at your mail box on the day you expect it.

Saved my grow, saved me $$$
I bought this along with the duct pipe and carbon filter grudgingly at first; I thought it would be overkill. However, I made a mistake and hung my thermometer/humidity gauge on the wall and not the mat. It was 85 and great on the wall, but it was 100 degrees F and 26% humidity on the mat under the light.I changed my setup to a negative pressure tent, closed all but one vent and let this fan take hot air from the top of the tent, filter it and blow it out the bottom air hole. I moved some stuff around and added a small fan inside. All of a sudden, happy plants and one even came back from "the dead". Perfect 85 F and 40% RH on the mat. The air coming out is enough to heat a bedroom on its own, so one room is literally heated just by the tent and LED lights.Great buy.

Great Inline vent fan
My old heat exchange vent system's vent fan quit working. No replacement fan available so I looked aroundfor a beefy fan with sufficient airflow. Installation was a bit tricky because this is up in the attic.I was able to place it over the dead fan inside the unit on top of the system.Since the fan is a good distance from any of the bathroom vents, we don't hear it and suction is more powerful than the original unit.

Fan is AWESOME and SO Quiet
This is the 3rd fan I have used and so far, this fan kicks butt! I installed my fan on May, 20 2018, as my outtake air flow on my 4' x 8' grow tent. Fan moves massive amounts of air and you can really fine tune the flow with the adjustable air flow. Fan has been running 24/7 for about 6 months now and runs as if its brand new still. In fact, I loved this fan so much, that I purchased another fan (Same exact fan), to use as my intake. My last intake fan was so loud and this fan is ridiculously quite compared to others. 2 days ago, I was sweeping my backyard and went over to check it because I wasn't sure it was still running, it was so quiet... no joke! Highly recommend this fan to anyone!!

Loud Fan
This fan become extremely loud after one year in service. Moves a lot of air but is making a lot of high freq noise. I do not recommend it for indoor use.

Very powerful fan
This fan is extremely powerful. I originally had it hooked up to my 5 x 5 tent with an 8" carbon filter. I'm in a one bedroom apartment so this beast is kind of loud. Had it set up inside the tent with the filter. Was too powerful and causing too much negative pressure. My solution was buy a second tent and hook it up outside with a y connector. Now with the filter outside of the tent with the fan and hooked up to 2 tents the suction is more evenly distributed. So my main point is is this fan is no joke if you only have one grow tent Then this fan maybe too much use it for larger setups or multiple grow tents. Or just buy a smaller fan
