My grandkids loved these! They took them out to the driveway to open. They do have a smell but not terrible. It takes some work to open them but it was worth it. The kids were thrilled to find the pearl inside. They were beautiful. Good teaching opportunity.

The pearks were pretty but I don't feel they were naturally occurring as stated. I have gotten oysters before and had to actually releases the pear from the muscle inside. These seem as though the oyster was opened and the pearl placed inside. You could hear the pearl loosely rattling around. I wanted to hear mh daughter get grossed out by having to dig for the pearl to release it. 😫
