Teng Tools TT804 2-inch 1 Puller Set

I am new to Teng tools but have quickly come to find that they are quality and are also reasonably priced. These pullers have 4" arms and can be quickly configured for 2 or 3 legs to allow easier access or a more spread pulling force. Ive used them a couple of times already having owned them a few weeks and feel they have earned their keep with how easy it was to remove bearings. Easy to set up and smooth to wind out the shaft using a spanner or socket. Saved a lot of time not having to smack them off with a hammer and punch and I dare say my thumb is also reaping the benefits. The case is neat and compact and fits into my halfords toolbox nicely too. If your looking at these, you know what they do and I am happy to report that they do it well!

I used it to successfully remove an otherwise-stuck crank arm from a bicycle. A normally-reliable crank arm remover tool just wasn't doing the job. Some damage to the back of the spider was caused - probably by my use of the tool without considering the dimensions/relationships of the mating parts. In retrospect, the damage I caused to the back of the spider was probably caused by me not considering where the force needed to be applied: I should have used a bolt loosely fitted into the axle, i.e., with 1 mm or so of space between the back of the bolt head and the spider, to provide something for the bearing puller to act on without acting on the spider in the wrong place. Note that the pointy bit is removable - if you get it wrong as I did and don't use a bolt in the axle, you may discover that it fits almost exactly into the square taper of the crank arm and then needs to be removed from the other side with a hammer and 9/32" deep socket. During it getting stuck, it provided enough force to remove the crank arm, which was not exactly the correct way to get it to work. Another tool that inspires confidence from Teng Tools, in my experience. Absolutely happy that it did the job, and I recommend this item :)

Excellent item and actually has a bit over 100mm reach, not "2 inches " as per the listing. Good quality and a neat storage case too. This is a real listing - I paid full price....
