Nice toy
It looks like other reviewers of these dirt cheap u-blox receivers were correct saying that the chips must be taken from some disposed devices. Mine was covered with residuals of flux and has a deep scratch on the surface. However, it works nice, I hang it in my North window (!) and in 5 minutes it has a 3d fix, everything seems to be OK. Even if it dies in three days I'll not be too disappointed, for $10 it is a really good part for an amateurish project.

Not work well for me.
I used it on my Ultimate 3 wspr transmitter and have had poor luck with it. It may be too sensitive as it usually will not lock and rarely puts out the PPS. Often times i have to move the antenna around or even place it upside down for it to work. I cant just set the device and forget it. I have to fiddle to find a good spot and even at the best of times it only has a lock 30% of the time. I have tried a different active antenna on it and it still takes several minutes to lock if it will at all.
