This is a really nice antenna
I bought this antenna to improve the range on my handheld CB radio. Which it did very easily the antenna likely doubled the range on a clear day and on cloudily days is still better then, the rubber antenna the unit came with. The antenna gives better use in my car. I have used the antenna roof top mount while driving on the highway and found no need to use the full length of the antenna. Keeping it at the shorter length works just fine. Or when I am feeling lazy I just turn on the radio an put it in the seat beside me or on the dash board. I next plan on using the radio fitted with this antenna on my walks and bicycle rides.

No go
After installation I did not see any improvement over the stock antenna. Actually, it could not pick up signals that were coming through with the OEM antenna. Definitely not doing what was built for in my opinion.

Best option for a CB portable
Longest practical size that works well, yet you can keep it collapsed for monitoring or short range use. It also light weight and does not overload the BNC connector like the long blades do.

This isn't worth the money, better receive, but transmission range still poor on a handheld.

Antenna Perfection!
Excellent quality. Highly recommend this. Comes with the additional P-259 connector, which I needed to connect to my unit. Love it!

Very clear increase in range
I don't have technical specs for the improvement over the stock antennae on the two cobras I bought, however, by testing this with my children and driving the same distance from the house using the stock and then these, the difference in range was dramatic. Too much for a placebo affect.
