spring on latch lever is not even close to being strong enough, and hinge pin is to small,so i had to drill out the pin weld, and install a stronger spring and .125 dia. pin....now its perfect.

This item was so cheaply made that the spring would not hold up the latch part so it would not work. It was very cheaply made and not worth buying. I have used this type of latch many times before but they were well made. Not junk like this one. I threw it away.

I like how thick and solid the latch is. I installed it on my boat console door. The door flops open now and the latch rattles around. I didn’t install the little flat piece that came with it because the last latch didn’t have a piece like that and it worked great until it broke. I hope I can figure out a way to fix it. If not I’ll have to buy another one from a different manufacturer.

We actually used this as a pull for a trap door on our child's treehouse, and it worked perfectly for what we needed. It was easy to install, and does the job. It is heavier than expected, and seems to be good quality.

Great replacement for my damaged boat latch. Sizing was perfect and functions as it should.
