These seem like sturdy hooks, the space between the hooks isn't very large but they can be bent slightly to enlarge the space (I bought them to hold kids scooters in garage). They had a very strong chemical smell when first opened so may need airing out first if using indoors.

My husband installed the hooks today. They work very well. Our bikes and the ladder now have their place to go, and our garage looks more organized:)
