The Elder Scrolls Online - PlayStation 4 Gold Edition

I've been a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls games for a while, and decided to give this a try since the Gold Edition came out. I had faith that they would have done a good job converting the Elder Scrolls world into an MMO, but was very hesitant as to how this would work on a console.Being an MMO fan since Everquest/World of Warcraft days, I couldn't imagine not being able to type while playing. You can use a keyboard with the PS4 for this if you want, but the game plays really well without it. There are enough ways to travel/craft/buy/sell things without having to type so I haven't had any issue with this so far. Also, in dungeons, most people seem to have headsets (at least that I've grouped with) so communication isn't an issue.As a new player I wasn't familiar with dungeon mechanics, but with the One Tamriel update you can join the dungeon queue and be grouped with people of all levels. Everyone has been super helpful explaining fights and I have yet to run into anyone who wasn't willing to help.The game plays very smooth. I haven't had any sort of lag even in the larger cities or during boss fights with a lot of particles on the screen at one time. It seemed a bit overwhelming at first but after a few hours I began to get the hang of combat mechanics/crafting/questing etc. Some of the quest lines are very detailed if you take the time to listen/read what's going on in the quests. Even the side quests seem to have a decent story to them which really enriches the experience within the game.A huge update went live mid October 2016 where you can bring your character just about anywhere and everything scales to your level. I think this has been a huge improvement and gives a ton of freedom to the game. It also really helps if you have friends that play, as you don't have to stay in the same general level range in order to group and do content that suits both your levels. Instead you can level ahead or lag behind and both parties will still get experience/gear/be effective when grouped. My friend plays less than I do so he's about 10 levels behind or so and we have no issue porting over to the other and grouping up.The game is built to allow you to play the way that you want. Regardless of your class selection you can wear heavy/medium/light armor, tank/dps/heal, and use whatever weapons that suits your playstyle. There are some combinations that work better than others, and although I haven't reached late game content I'm sure this is more prevalent there...but the majority of the game allows you to play how you want and have fun.Lastly, if you're just looking for a new Elder Scrolls game and have no interest in grouping, this is still a fantastic buy. You don't have to group or talk to anyone if you don't want to - there is a TON of content that can be done solo and you can spend your time just questing and exploring/building up your character. For the hours of game play that this offers there is really nothing to lose buy picking it up.

So this is a great and highly complex game, However there are some details that were hard to find out before I started playing it. 1. Playing Solo has its limits and it is not a cross platform game! So if you are on a PC and your friend is on a PS4 (or other device) you can't play together, same for the servers. 2. If you want to craft you need gaming partners to help increase your skill. 3. There is a fee to play the game that is well hidden. I tried to look it up before I bought it and I couldn't find anything that said there was a fee to play. And if you want a crafting bag for your characters/account you much get ESO Plus. So another hidden fee. But despite all that it is a fun game. Especially if you enjoy fighting and adventure.

I am totally addicted to this game! I have heard a lot of bad reviews from players that played when it first came out, but the game developers have worked tirelessly to create a game that you want to play! There are a million things to do, a massive map to explore, and endless dungeons to raid! Elder scrolls at its best... and yes I’ve been a fan of all the other games they have put out.Cost: I purchased this game thinking that like unlike other MMORPGs I would not have to pay to play. WRONG! PlayStation requires a monthly membership to be able to play. Plus a player really needs the Elder Scrolls online monthly upgrade to be able to craft, which is important for me personally. The ESO upgrade has a LOT of great benefits other than freeing up your bank space from crafting supplies. You get all the deluxe paid for special areas like the thieves guild and dark brotherhood as well and all for the price of the 1500 crowns you get along with the membership. Crowns: there are numerous really cool upgrades you get with crowns which are bought with real money. In short this game makes you want to spend your money...

Excellent game, very friendly community within hours of being logged on there were already people trying to help me by handing gear my way or running me through dungeons. Lots of people have microphones and every time they do, there's nobody salty, no rage, no anger. Everyone's always just mellow and relaxed, willing to help and just there to play the game. It's a nice change from the usual salt and trolling you get on most games. The game felt like there was already so much to do, then the homestead patch was released and it added so much more. I've been playing for around 2 months now and I feel like i've only scratched the surface. Best part is, no monthly subscriptions.This game brings me as much joy as Wrath of the Lich King WoW. For those of you that remember this, you'll know this is a very high compliment and to say a game is on par with that has not happened in a long time. I seriously, honestly, from the bottom of my heart hope that you try this game if you're into MMO's.

It is non-regional. So you can play it in English but you can't read anything written on the case or slip with the promo code.

The game itself is amazing and for this price you couldn’t beat it. Though I bought it brand new the case was damaged slightly (as seen in photos) a scratch in the front and a damaged bottom right corner that doesn’t allow it to close properly. Not a big deal for me but those of you out there who require prestine games then I’d say your best bet is to buy a digital copy or opt for quicker shipping so there’s less time for damages to occur

I bought this as a gift for my daughter, but i do play this on PC and can say this is a fantastic game. I wasn't expecting to much because so many people have complained about it, but with almost 250 Steam games, this one is my favorite. Being an MMO it does have some downfalls, but that comes with the territory of being an MMO, although i find that over 95% of all players are great to play with, there those moments where to want to whack them with your sword, lol. It's just really a ton of fun, very immersive, and the game play is solid, there is enough to keep you constantly questing.

Es entretenido por un tiempo, pero después de unas 50-70 hrs, se hace repetitivo. Hay mucha gente activa que lleva mas de 500 horas y hay siempre algo que hacer, solo que a mi me cansó.. Es importante saber ingles ya que la mayoría de las personas lo hablan y el juego es mas divertido con otros. Por el precio fue bueno, pero es importante saber que se necesita la membresia de ps plus para poder jugarlo.

This game is really fun, but you need PlayStation plus in order to play it. The visuals are really good. Now me and my friends have a new game to play. And it came with a poster, Thanks so much! I’ll be enjoying this game for a long while.

Amazing game, graphics are incredible. Always stuff to do. Lots of different ways to play. Something for everyone.
