Excellent choice even though its a xmas present for the grandson, exactly what hevhas asked for

I bought this for my partner for fathers day. You have to assemble it, but its not too hard to do. I would have given it 5 stars but, the tri-pod it stands on doesn't adjust. For those of you wanted to use it inside, I would recommend a table or stand of some kind to place it on. You do get various lenses to use with it and an attachment for your mobile phone. Value for money? For a beginner Yes, especially kids. I wouldn't purchase another one based on the size of the tri-pod and the fact that it doesn't adjust.

Lovely bit of kit but just two niggles... Instructions are not very clear and could be more explanatory and simpler! The tripod base is only short and so has to sit on a table.. The pictures advertised what appeared to be a much taller set up!

frustrating for a child

Soooo poor, cannot get enough tilt on scope when planets are high in the sky. No minor adjustment ability to bring it on to target gently, image shakes like hell once you move the scope on to target. No good even for a beginner, it would put a beginner off.

Good quality for beginners easy assembly and clarity of image.

Range was super strong, quality was good for the price, I’m 40 and found it hard to use, value for money was good though. Instructions don’t say much on how to use the phone holder, I’m a first time telescope user so can’t leave much feed back but I’m happy with the quality and weight. Could have expandable legs which would make it perfect for outside
