4 years running and it still lathers up great! With the right shave soap of course. With this last 4 years I have maybe had a few hairs fall out, but that itself is saying something. I leave this brush in very hot water while I prepare for a shave and the fact that the hairs are still intact after 4 years makes this a great brush! It's pretty soft but then again I don't have anything else to compare it too besides a boars hair brush. I also attribute it lasting 4 years since I do care for my stuff, I clean it and flick as much water out and store it in a stand where the water drips off it.

Brush works up a great shaving larger and is comfortable to use, besides being economically priced.

I wanted to wait a few months before reviewing this because of all the other reviews. I bought this to transition from a boar hair brush to a badger hair. The most common complaint I read was that the brush shed like crazy. I have not had that issue and I shave four to five times a week. I follow a good routine and let the brush soak in warm water prior to use. If you research wet shaving and how to take care of your products I don't believe this brush will give you any issues. In my opinion this is a great starter brush or good introduction to badger hair brushes to see the difference. I would buy this again and have no complaints. I was happy enough with this Henry Cavendish product I decided to buy one of their soaps to try. I will say that the brush does shed about a hair every three shaves but I'm still breaking it in and from the reviews I expected way more.

The Cavendish shaving brush arrived on time and it was as advertised. I particularly like it softness of the brush and the great lather it makes with only a few quick swishes on the shaving soap cake. Thus far it hasn’t lost any of its bristles and I expect it will serve me well for years to come.

Gave this to my husband as a Christmas gift and he was so excited to try it as he had never used shave soap before. Since using, he has only had high praise for the product. He has commented on the lather of the soap and its comparison to shave gel he currently uses. He claims that the soap has reduced razor burn and has improved his skin texture (i.e. Softer feel). I anticipate that he will never use a shave gel or foam again. He's sold on the shave soap.Since I purchased, I will note that the price and packaging were great.

This was ordered as a replacement brush for my husband’s broken one. He said that this brush is better than his old one. The soap lathers better and helps him get a better shave.

Have one that is great. I bought a second for my travel shave kit and after a few months it started shedding excessively. It sheds so much now it is unusable and I’ve been forced to buy another brush.

It's an awesome brush and I know seeing as how it's made from an actual animal that it will have a smell but the smell has lasted on this thing for over a month and I've tried every trick to get rid of the stench. It's so overpowering I can't smell my soap. It's almost like I grabbed a wet badger and used it to lather soap on my face! Lol other then that it's a great brush.
