So far I’ve been happy with it.
I bought this model because I have other Hitachi tools that use the same batteries. I’ve used the saw for a few projects and so far it’s been great. I used it to cut up an old wood dog house that we needed to dispose of. With a demolition blade it cut right through wood, nails and asphalt shingles. I used a hacksaw blade to cut an aluminum downspout to install a divergent for a rain barrel. Battery life has been good.

Great all around reciprocating saw
They have a 36v, which is stupid powerful, but is large diameter and heavy. I looked at both. But found this to be powerful enough in 18v, while being noticeably lighter and more comfortable to hold.

Defected product
When inserting saw blade into the holder the blade would not stay locked down after moderate use and the saw would throw out the blade when running. I ordered a replacement from another company and it is working as designed.

I wouldn't say this particular saw is good for the contractor.
The saw worked just fine, as expected until the pin, ball, or whatever it is that holds the blade in broke.
