The Body Shop Does It Again
As an older, disabled male I'm most likely not the target population for The Body Shop products. However, once I started trying them and found that they worked well with my always unpredictable skin I became sold and repeatedly turn to The Body Shop for my skincare regimen needs. This latest product, a Himalayan Charcoal Skin Clarifying Night Peel, is yet another winner from The Body Shop. This relatively small 1-fluid ounce bottle arrived nicely packed. The amber bottle has a dropper as usage only requires 2-3 drops per use. It's recommended for use no more than 3 nights weekly. You smooth the charcoal-like substance into the skin. It clears into a more clear liquid and you wash it off the next morning. The end result is smoother, more clarified skin that looks more evenly textured. This is particularly important to me as I've historically had issues with a really uneven skin tone. I find this product very effective without triggering my sensitive skin. I'm often hit-and-miss with charcoal type products, however, I'm finding this one effective. This does have a relatively strong scent to it. If you're particularly sensitive to scents, especially at night when you're sleeping, be aware that this one is pretty strong but does fade fairly nicely.I will say that I'm fairly new to the idea of overnight products. I like this one and will easily keep using it. The price point is a bit higher, however, The Body Shop does a lot of things I love in terms of social responsibility and I find them easy to support. Also, this product takes so little to use to be effective that even a small bottle will last for a while.I will also note that the peel doesn't leave any sort of film or residue. It's easy to sleep without getting anything on sheets or pillowcases.Overall, I'm pleased with this product from The Body Shop and am finding it leaves my skin looking clearer, smoother, more evenly toned, and looking refreshed when I wash it off in the morning. This is definitely a winner for me.

Cleans Those Gunked Up Pores
A good overnight clarifying agent that gets deep inside those pores and gradually works to clean them out. That's all that this does, so don't expect anything else like moisturization or other possible expectations. But sometimes a good, thorough cleaning is all you really need. This is slow acting which is why you need a good night's worth of hours to efficiently work.Once you apply this to your skin, you can feel that you've applied a thin layer of film. It will dry, so you won't be messing up your pillowcases. Doesn't really dry out the skin, though it does help to control excess sebum production. I find that it sometimes does make the skin feel a bit tighter while it's on the face. It feels a little bit like a facial serum used after cleansing except that it does not moisturize or firm up your skin. This has a different job and it does that job well. After you cleanse your face in the morning, that's when you'll start noticing the difference. The skin feels clean and it looks better. Of course, repeated and continued use will give you even better results.Clean and gentle on the skin and will probably be fine for most with sensitive skin, though they might need to limit use to maybe once per week. They'll just have to experiment and see what works best for them. Maybe use along the nose only. For everyone else, this seems best for those with oily to normal skin. Works well on my combination skin.

Burned and overscented
Not sure why they scented it so strongly but between that and the burning sensation I had to wash it off after about 15 min. Oh well.

I Don't See Much Of A Change, Yet
I've been using and enjoying The Body Shop products for years. This Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Skin Clarifying Night Peel, Vegan, this is the first facial skin care product that I've used where you apply it, then leave it on overnight, and remove it, in this case wash it off, the next morning. After you cleanse your face, you are supposed to use 2-3 drops on your face. Thankfully, the drops look black in the bottle, and in your hand, but once applied to your face, it's clear. This won't stain your pillowcase, which is also a plus, as I only use silk pillowcases.I've only been using this product for several days so far. I really don't notice much of a difference, except maybe fewer black heads, on my nose. The scent is ok, not too strong, the drops spread easily, and no irritation to my sensitive, rosecea prone facial skin.I plan to keep using this nightly, and hopefully I will see more improvement to my facial skin.

Nice Fragrance, Easy to Use, Great Results!
This arrives in a really nice box. Super chic! Then, remove this bottle and behold the peel! First, it smells super nice: light and pretty. Next, it is a medium thickness. Like, if you put a drop of this on the back of your hand, it would not run or slide (at all). With this said, this disperses quickly and effortlessly, instantly turning from a grey hue to a perfectly clear mask. Again, really impressive! It requires very little time for this to dry enough the you can go to sleep and not worry about your linens. (It dries to the point where you literally don't even know that it's on!) And, when you wash your face in the morning, your skin is going to have greater clarity and brightness. Impressive!Superb product! Great smell, so easy to use, and fantastic results! Highly, highly recommended!

Didn't notice a difference
I used this for about a month and saw no change at all. I am glad this was a freebie-otherwise, I would be asking for a refund.
