The boar bristles measure about 1/2 inch high. The nylon bristles are longer, about 3/4 inches high.

Q: Do the nylon pinhead tips fall off after a while?

No that has not been an issue, this in fact is my 2nd brush from this company (bought another and it tore my hair) and only bought another because my husband used mine as a hammer 😂
