Can you fly it with i pad

Yes! Very fun little gadget! Bought for my 7 year old daughter. She’s already flying it like a professional! Lol. Downloaded the app on her iPad and off flying she went!

I live in a high altitude city. 8500 ft. Will it work?

This drone does not use gps, it will work on low wind situations. Also drones limitations is for above ground level (AGL), legal limit is 400 feet agl. This drone maybe usefull for 100 feet.

I cannot connect to tello from my google pixel 2 on wifi. is anybody able to use a google pixel 2 with tello?

If you want to use tello on Android 10 or above You're going to have to connect to its Wi-Fi and give it a second and allow your device to use the Wi-Fi without internet
